Chapter : 15

Weeks passed by but Elsa was unable to go to her own house. She and Mrs.Presley were both trapped inside that Secret place.
Elsa was aware of the fact that everything Sam was doing was worthless, all efforts of police and Aakrit's team of finding him was going in vain.
But she couldn't say a word after reading that letter.

Even the police were wholly confused that it was nearly a month since Aakrit went missing and they were unable to find a single clue about his presence in his lab.
One of the biggest obstacles that came in their way was, there was not even a single CCTV camera inside or outside of his lab for privacy and security reasons.

All they found was burnt pages and files, a broken sound recorder which wasn't working anymore.
The only reason the police believed that Aakrit might be there in the lab because of his completely destroyed mobile they found near his desk.

March 9, 2019

Elsa felt pain in her belly.
Mrs.Presley and Sam took her to the hospital but it wasn't the delivery date today.
Doctors told them that Elsa can expect her baby within a week and that both the baby and mother are healthy.

The Secret house was not so far away from the hospital so they decided to take Elsa back to the house for her comfort and obviously protection.

Mrs.Presley and Elsa went inside the car whilst Sam was buying some vitamin tablets and energy drinks.

Sam *the police officer said*

I heard from your colleague that you were here, how's Mrs.Andrews now?
*He asked*

She is doing fine, the doctors said that the baby is gonna be here anytime next week, *Sam told him*

Bless that child..., I'm really sorry to inform you that we're getting orders from higher authorities to close this case.

It's been a month and there's no clue about Aakrit, I respect him a lot man that's why I'll try my best for a few more days with my team.
But, there's no actual clue of him being kidnapped. And those gunmen, we couldn't find anything about them as well. It's really weird but have you noticed that they didn't attack Elsa or you since the last time.*The officer stated*

I'm sorry but we do have a lot of other cases as well and Aakrit being a scientist, I reckon there's a chance of him getting a negative effect of one of his experiments.
*The officer told Sam*

Yeah, I get it. Thank you for the help officer *Sam said while shaking hands with the officer*

Anytime man, but if you or Mrs.Andrews need any help or feel unsafe just don't think twice before dialling my number.*The officer said and left*

What was he talking about? *Elsa asked Sam the moment he got inside the car*

Same thing, that the couldn't find any clue *Sam said*

They will never find any clue, he left no clue behind him. He knew everything*Elsa mumbled*

What's wrong?*Sam asked her*

Nothing I just wanna go home*Elsa said*

Just a few more days Elsa, I promise once the baby is here you can go back to yours and Aakrit's house*Sam said whilst driving*

Elsa sighed.

Don't worry Elsa dear, everything will be normal one day *Mrs. Presley said while caressing Elsa*

Elsa smiled at Mrs.Presley.

Days were passing by as Elsa was getting tired of hiding from the world and not being in contact with her fellow professors.

Doesn't matter how hard she tried to think positive about the things that has happened, she always ended up blaming science and Aakrit's craziness of getting so much involved in it that he didn't think of his family, not even once.

Her decision was strong and non-negotiable.
She decided to keep her child away as much as possible from becoming a Scientist.

She was watching Tv while thinking about all the bad things. From those gunmen attacking her house to never getting to see Aakrit ever again.
That, how was happy they were the night before she lost Aakrit forever. That, how happy his last call was when he was scolding her for not eating properly.

Elsa.Elsa..*Sam raised his voice a little bit when he found Elsa literally lost in her thoughts.

I'm sorry, what you were saying?*Elsa said while looking at Sam*

Sign these papers*Sam said while putting a file in front of her*

What are these?*She asked him*

Aakrit's lab's insurance paper, this house's legal papers and that house near The Boston University of Science and Technology and some more lab papers.
It's all your responsibility from now.*Sam said*

Lab's insurance?*Elsa sighed and chuckled in anger*

He doesn't have any life insurance, can you believe that Sam?*Elsa said while fake laughing*

Elsa signed all those papers in anger without even looking at it.

I will leave this country Sam and I want you to handle all of this.
You gotta help me with money for a while until I wholly settle down in Norway.

I won't handle any of his work but I don't wanna close his labs and everything because so many people work there, I don't wanna ruin their lives while taking away their jobs.

I trust you, you can handle all of this*she told Sam while signing the papers .*

And I want you and Mrs Presley to promise me that you'll never ever mention anything about Aakrit in front of this child*She said angrily*

Before anyone could say anything, it was the time she actually felt the labour pain.
