Sans is a MONSTER and not a HUMAN, so he doesn't follow HUMAN biology like a HUMAN skeleton. Same with Gaster and Papyrus.

A/N - I'm so sorry it's taken me awhile to get another part out. Long story short my mental health has just been very up and down lately, so motivation can just come and go like that. Been trying my best to keep it going though, as I really would like to finish this trilogy. Just fear it might take me awhile. Haha

Anyway enjoy.

------------------------------
He wasn't sure he wanted to go to school today. Admittedly, since getting home from school, he had been feeling a bit gloomy... Leo had barely slept a wink. He didn't even know what was bothering him so much.

Or maybe he did and he didn't want to really think about what it was. But this wasn't the first time he wanted to bury his feelings deep down about something that he was worried about.

After all, it was like the whole thing with his family: how he felt like they were hiding something. His father and grandfather always felt so mysterious... And Leo always got the vibe that there was more to everyone than what met the eye. He didn't know if that was just his paranoia setting in... If it was some kind of trait he picked up from Sans, (who also had a habit to overanalyze stuff), or if he was right on the money. Either way, it probably didn't matter did it? He'd never find out which it was.

"Leo! It's time to get up for school!" Luna was calling out, as she had slightly opened the door to call into his room. She was always up bright and early, unlike him. It was clear which of them had taken Frisk's morning habits and which of them had taken Sans'. Leo groaned.

"I'm not going in today..." He grumbled stubbornly, as he was pulling the sheets over his head. It was clear however that Luna didn't really accept that answer, because she was waltzing across the room to pull the curtains wide open, allowing sunlight to bring in through the glass from the outside world. Sometimes it felt like Luna was the demanding mother with the way she acted sometimes.

"What do you mean? You're not sick, are you? You don't sound like you have a cold!" She giggled teasingly, brushing down her own flow-y pink top and her denim skirt. Though, when Leo only seemed to grunt in return and turn over, her smile couldn't help but falter. She walked closer to her brother's bed. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." He replied shortly, even if it was clear by his tone and his very blunt answer that he was anything but fine. He was trying to skip school, and it was clear he just didn't feel like talking to anyone.

"...Are you sure? You seemed weird yesterday too... At lunch after Kyle left, you were all by yourself..." She murmured.

When she had noticed her brother sitting alone at his table, she couldn't help but feel sad. She never liked seeing him alone. He had always been alone, ever since they were born. True, he had Kyle, but even then sometimes it felt like Leo for some reason felt distanced from him. She may not have seemed like it, but she could notice things too. Especially when it came to people's relationships and their happiness.

However, when she tried to call him over... He just gave her an awkward smile, got up, and left. And then she was told by her friend Emily: you can't baby him forever you know? He probably feels embarrassed being coddled by his sister all the time. That made her feel sad... "Have I upset you?"

"No, you haven't. It's not you. It's nothing to do with you, Luna. So just leave me alone." Leo snapped back in frustration, going to sit up and glare towards her in annoyance, while she stood, almost looking ready to cry.

Now it was true that siblings didn't always get along. Even inseparable people like Leo and Luna had their arguments from time to time, before they'd make right back up again. But what Leo said hurt. It's nothing to do with you. She was only trying to help!

"knock knock." A familiar older skeleton chuckled, as he was knocking lightly on the bedroom door, grabbing the attention of his two kids. He was ready to make some kind of humerus joke, but he didn't really get the chance before Luna was storming out of the room with tears in her eyes. Clearly Sans had missed an argument. "did ya upset your little sister, leo?" He wondered, causing Leo to scoff.

"I didn't do anything."

"her cryin' seems to suggest otherwise." The father replied back lightheartedly, as he went to perch himself on the corner of his son's bed. His son on the other hand had gone back to lying under the covers, facing towards the wall. "what did ya say?"

"Nothing! I just... I just told her it was none of her business, that's all. I'm fine."

"that's actually what i came to talk about... ya see, your sister isn't the only one who is worried about ya, son. your mother is too." Sans pointed out. And of course, Sans was concerned himself. He didn't like to see his son struggling. He didn't like to see him get frustrated or worked up... Especially because it reminded him too much of himself.

The last thing Sans would want is for his own son to be like him. The older skeleton may have been lucky enough to find someone who made him feel less like the scum of the Earth. But not everyone would be that lucky. Him meeting someone like Frisk had been a fucking miracle for him to say the least. "what's botherin' ya? ya shouldn't keep it to yourself ya know."

It was silent for a few moments.

"That's rich coming from you." Leo croaked quietly, earning an eyebrow raise from his father. He didn't know why he said that. He never dared to say something like that to Sans before. Not because he was scared of him but... As a kid, you never liked to poke at your parents nerves. Ask them about things you shouldn't ask about. "You and mom are full of secrets."

What exactly those secrets were, Leo didn't know. But he knew there was something going on. There was just something weird about how Sans supposedly had some kind of business job, but Leo was never allowed to go see what he did, or where he worked. When Leo would ask about what he did with his day, it was always very vague. When asked about their past and how they met, it seemed like his parents would either avoid certain parts of their story, or they would change certain details because there were things Leo and Luna just weren't supposed to know about.

"...well, of course me and your mother have secrets. we're your parents." Sans explained. "is this what you're upset about?" He wondered, which caused Leo to exhale. To tell the truth, right now, it wasn't. No. It was something at the back of his mind that he always thought and wondered about, but...

"Dad. What does it mean to like someone?" Leo quietly asked, as he decided to slowly sit up, so he could face his father with a glum expression. Sans on the other hand looked legitimately surprised by such a question, that was until he grinned widely.

"oh. got ya self a little crush, have ya?" It was almost like looking into a mirror of the past, immediately seeing his son looking like he wanted to scream the moment he mentioned the word crush. Sans had been the same when he gained feelings for Frisk. He had been too humiliated and embarrassed about his feelings that he didn't want to accept that it was happening. He didn't even want to tell her about his feelings, until he snapped at her one day and he kissed her. He still stood by that that was the best decision he ever made.

"No! I haven't! I just..."

"listen kiddo, here's my word of advice, if ya do like someone: just tell them. ya will regret it if ya don't." True, that wasn't the advice that Leo asked for, but Sans would have to be a bad father to not realise the reason that he was asking such a question was likely because he had found someone he was interested in. "it's like if i never told your mother how i felt. we wouldn't have had ya, and luna." He hummed, as he lightly patted Leo's head. The younger skeleton pouted.

"It's not a crush..." He muttered under his breath, earning a chuckle from his father.

"sure, kiddo. just hold onto my advice at least." He told him. "now, ya have a sister to apologise to, don't ya?" Sans pointed out, which caused Leo to sigh. Yeah... He did. He knew he had been a bit of a jerk for snapping at her. He just... Had a lot on his mind right now.

"Yeah..." Leo nodded. "Thanks, dad." Admittedly, Sans did make him feel a lot better with his words of advice. Even if it was pretty simple what he said. Sometimes the simplest of advice could be the best. Sans chuckled.

"it's no problem kiddo. now run along, before you're late for school."
