Sans is a MONSTER and not a HUMAN, so he doesn't follow HUMAN biology like a HUMAN skeleton. Same with Gaster and Papyrus.

-----------------------------------------

Being 17 years of age. Still crazy to think that 11 years had passed them by, bringing her to the point of being a grown up, teenage girl. She had gone through the years of playing kiddy games, of ending up with many scratches and bumps on the knees and elbows from falling over during childish games. Running to the teacher or her parents with eyes full of tears for a plaster, because of a tiny little scrape. Past the embarrassing years of being told: one day your body is going to start changing, and you shouldn't be alarmed. Highschool. She had been going to this school for the last few years, and it had its ups and downs. But Luna had tried her best to remain as positive for it as she possibly could! For her and her brother - Leo.

She knew school life for him had been pretty rough, when you didn't count the people he had there for him over the years, to make him feel less alone. The issue was, Leo was more monster than human in terms of appearance, (despite possessing jet black hair - which he had dyed that colour - and bright blue eyes), and for some reason people saw it as a reason to sometimes pick on him just because he was a skeleton monster. Sans' and Frisk's son. Her brother. She got along much easier.

No, it wasn't like she had never had to deal with a few bullies here and there that told her to "fucking go back where she came from", because she had dealt with her fair share of terrible people growing up through school, and sometimes it did crack her enough to the point she'd cry and go running to her mother questioning: why do some people hate us so much? And all Frisk could say was, I don't know. People were always afraid of something they didn't quite understand. Not that that made it good or any better. But unfortunately, some people would probably never understand, and you couldn't really do anything about those people. But just because they existed, didn't mean you should let them get you down. To try and ruin your life. Be happy in your skin, Luna, is what her mother said. And her father. Don't ever be ashamed of who you are.

And she wasn't.

She smiled widely, as her two dark eyes darted around her school locker, as she was pulling out her books for her first period, while trying her best not to be too slow in case she ended up being late. Like her brother, she had History, but sadly, they were not placed in the same class together, so she couldn't really sit next to him or talk to him in class like she really wanted to. Then again, as inseparable as her and Leo were, she knew to sometimes give him some space. To let him do his own thing and spend time with his own friend - Kyle. She had friends of her own - quite a lot of them actually.

It was pretty strange. Because despite being part monster and part human, Luna was actually quite a popular girl at her school. Whether it was because of her looks, or her personality, or both, she wasn't quite sure, but she definitely didn't let the popularity get to her head! She was still the same, bubbly, bright, happy girl she had been ever since she was a little kid. She cared for kindness and real people were much more important to her than being fake. Because that was the issue with highschool. Drama, drama, drama. Some popular people were over dramatic and made big things out of anything and everything. Some people were just really bad influences, and Luna tried her best to steer herself clear of those kinds of people.

"Hey, Luna!" She saw her friend Emily, as she had closed her locker and turned to start heading to class. Like Luna, Emily had dark brown hair, except her hair was much more curly and had more volume to it, unlike Luna's. She just preferred her own hair straight and long. She had light tanned skin, and apple coloured eyes, that Luna was slightly jealous of because they were so detailed and vibrant, they really sprang out when you spoke to her and kept eye contact with her. Emily also wore a bit of makeup - the usual that girls at highschool tended to wear, mascara, eyeliner, a bit of concealer, done up eyebrows... But Emily was one of those girls that actually managed to do it so that it looked a bit more natural, and it didn't look like her face was just caked in bright orange makeup. She wore a white t-shirt with some kind of typical teenage brand upon it, with a pair of black tights and denim shorts over the top. Her black and white outfit contrasted with Luna's more bright one, as the 17 year old enjoyed wearing pink, plain tops, with a black skirt and thigh high black stockings. She also wore white boots - the heels being thick and black. It at least made her as tall as her brother, who slightly managed to beat her in height in the last couple of months.

"Hey!" The 17 year old replied cheerfully, as she joined Emily's side to walk down the hall together, while hugging her books close to her medium sized chest. "How was the party last night?" She hummed, glancing towards her best friend with a warm smile. A party. A house party. That Luna hadn't decided to go to. She didn't really go to house parties much. Didn't really like them, because they usually involved playing loud music, people yelling and getting drunk and making fools of themselves... Emily chuckled, seeming to have a look in her eyes like she was recalling the events of the night before.

"Well, I can say it's a shame you weren't there. You probably would have found it a great laugh!" Emily blurted, as she grinned towards the human/skeleton girl. Again, Luna had to stress that she didn't really enjoy house parties, because she was worried about slipping in with the wrong crowd. And when you were a popular girl, that could probably happen a lot easier than you thought. "Plus, Michael and Steffani broke up again at the party--" those two were other popular people, who sort of had an on again off again relationship. Was a shame too, because Michael seemed like a good guy. Good looking. Luna may or may not have had a bit of a thing for him, but he was always dating this Steffani girl, so it'd never happen in a million years. "--I think they're off for good now. So you might stand a chance." Emily teased, while Luna giggled and shook her head.

"No, I don't think so." Luna replied. Even if she was "popular", he probably wouldn't go for a girl like her. With his cool dark hair, and dark eyes... Sometimes if you stared for too long you could probably get lost in how deep they were... The way he smiled and grinned at you so confidently was extremely attractive. Luna and him had hardly really spoke though. Sometimes they might bump into each other from time to time in the hall, but other than that, he probably barely knew she existed.

"Hey, you never know. I'm just saying! Not that you have to go after him right now..." After all, he had just broken up with his 'long term girlfriend', so chasing after him after a break up might have seemed a little thoughtless of Luna. Something she would never do as she cared a lot about people's feelings.

"Yeah, yeah, calm down, cupid." Luna joked with a wide smile, as she gently elbowed her friend in the side. Her own cheeks were becoming slightly mantled in pinkish, redish blush, as she hated her highschool crush to be so casually talked about like this out in the hall while they were hurrying themselves to class. They didn't want to be late after all, not that they really had a strict teacher. But Luna actually cared about getting to class on time, unlike some who didn't give a single shit about time management and keeping their grades up. But Luna always tried her best in school. To make herself and her family proud.

With that thought in mind, the two friends laughed at each other's side and continued until they finally reached their designated classroom. School life was definitely enjoyable when you had friends who you knew had your back. Luna felt like she was surrounded by such positive people in her life, she knew she felt so incredibly lucky. She had a wonderful brother, great parents, and amazing friends. Life was pretty simple, and she could live out her life as a normal teenager, regardless of whether she was partly a monster or not.

She had everything she could ever ask for. She couldn't complain one bit about her happiness.
