Writer's note - I apologise for taking awhile to get another part out. Writer's block hit me hard, and I just had no motivation to write for awhile. But I got hit with a sudden urge of motivation again, so thought I'd take the chance to write while I could! Hope you enjoy!

Sans is a MONSTER and not a HUMAN, so he doesn't follow HUMAN biology like a HUMAN skeleton. Same with Gaster and Papyrus.

"Man, lessons are boring as always." Luna sighed, as she slumped down at the lunch table, next to her twin brother, and his good friend, Kyle. Is not like you to sound like a pessimist, Kyle joked from where he was sitting, only to cause Luna to lightly giggle and shake her head. "I'm not being a pessimist! I don't know about you, but there isn't a whole lot enjoyable about looking at gross things through a microscope. I don't find it that interesting..." She hummed.

"Careful. Granddad might not like hearing you say that." Leo pointed out, as Gaster was a scientist after all - they at least knew that much about their grandfather on their father's side. It was so strange though, because for family, a man like W.D Gaster always felt so damn mysterious. Like he just had all the knowledge in the world that you wished he would share with you, but he probably wouldn't. He was a very secretive person. But then who wasn't in their family? Leo couldn't help but think with a small pout. He didn't exactly know what secrets anyone was hiding, but it was hard not to get the feeling like he was missing out on something.

"He's not around, is he?" Luna laughed, as she nervously glanced over her shoulders, only to see that he was nowhere to be seen. Not that she was genuinely afraid - Gaster was actually a very nice grandfather. One that Luna felt like she was very lucky to have. "Well, at least he knows it won't be me that will be the next scientist in line. You'll have to take that spot for me, bro!" Luna teased, as she gave Leo a small nudge, only for her attention to be taken away by the next table. It seemed Emily was calling to her, waving her over to come sit with them, with their group of friends. Again, Luna had to emphasize how for some reason, in this school, she was fairly popular despite being part monster. But that didn't stop her from trying to spend time with her brother.

"Go on, go join 'em." Leo smiled towards his sister. "Otherwise they might think you can't go anywhere without your big brother.

"What are you talking about?! I'm the older one!" Luna argued back, as she gave her brother a small nudge once again. Their parents had told them the story a hundred times over, after all. Mainly because Luna always loved to hear it as a child before she went to sleep. How Frisk and Sans had been expecting only one child, but then ended up having twins. She was born first, a few minutes before Leo, and then Leo showed up unexpectedly afterwards. Not to mention - the most amusing part of the story - Sans was "technically" their mom.

Even if that was the case, they still called him dad, especially when they were so used to it growing up. But it had blown their minds to know that a monster of any gender could bring life to the world. It was also funny to imagine Sans getting cranky and wound up - seeing as that was what happened to human pregnant women. Monsters were always so fascinating, even if Luna and Leo were partly monsters themselves. "I know I know, just go." Leo laughed, as he pushed her off to the other table, before going to sit back down next to Kyle.

"You wanted to get rid of her pretty quick." Kyle commented, obviously teasing, like the both of the siblings had been. Leo shook his head, mentioning how he just wanted Luna to spend time with her friends. After all, if she spent all her time around her brother, she was just going to make life harder for herself. She always acted like she needed to protect him, even when they were just 6 years of age. They had always been so damn close. But Leo knew it couldn't be like that forever, if Luna expected to have friends. She needed to be able to put her attention towards other people, as well as her family.

"Hey you guys!" A familiar voice squealed, as they sat themselves right next to Kyle, and seemed to rather quickly throw her arms around him in a big hug. Ah, yes. Kyle's girlfriend - her name was Ellie. She was the kind of girl who would dye her hair all kinds of crazy colours, (at the moment it was a turquoise-y kind of colour... made Leo think of that anime, virtual singer... whatever her name was, hatson micky? Leo had no idea, but his sister used to love that stuff when they were like 12),  she had a tongue piercing, and would also wear funky outfits that really made you question where to look in the hope you wouldn't burn out your ability to see, (that was just Leo's opinion though, too much colour to him was ugly when he enjoyed dressing up in nothing but black and grey). "Hope I'm not interrupting much. Were you in the middle of a conversation?"

"S-Sort of." Kyle sheepishly laughed, while Leo was quietly popping some food into his mouth that he had in his lunch box, that had been nicely prepared by his mother the night before. He always went quiet whenever Ellie was around. Not because he didn't like her or anything like that, but because when she was around... Well, looking at Kyle and her right now, it was pretty obvious why Leo just started to mind his own business. Leo basically became a third wheel. It was a little infuriating, but Kyle was his best friend, so... He kind of put up with it to keep him happy. Even if it didn't make Leo feel very happy.

"Ooh, really? What were the two of you talking about?" Ellie piped up, as she glanced towards Leo, while really still seeming to snuggle up to Kyle on the lunch bench. Talk about way too much PDA, Leo couldn't help but mentally think in annoyance as he took another bite into his sandwich.

"We were just talking about my sister, that's all..." Leo sighed, which only earned a small oh! from Ellie, before she began rambling to Kyle about one thing or another. He didn't think she was purposefully an annoying person, she was obviously just very bubbly. But the fact that she was ignorant to how irritating she was somehow just made her ten times-- no-- a thousand times more annoying.

But again, she was Kyle's girlfriend so... Leo just kept his mouth shut on the matter. Wasn't his business to get involved with. He'd just let Kyle make his own decisions and mistakes. Not that Ellie was a mistake-- just. You know.

Whatever.

"Hey, Leo?" Kyle spoke up, snapping the teenager out of his glum thoughts as he glanced towards his brown haired, brown eyed friend. He blinked his dark eyes, as he must have missed whatever Kyle had said, because he had been completely spaced out. What is it? Leo asked him to repeat himself, so Kyle responded: "Ellie says she accidentally left her bag in class, so we're going to go get it. Do you want to come?" He smiled. Leo acted like he needed to think about that for a second, but the moment he got asked that question, he already knew what he was going to say.

"No thanks. I still need to finish my lunch. You two go on ahead though." Leo told them, allowing them to go off on their own, causing him to now be left at his own table, on his lonesome... Am I a bad friend? He couldn't help but internally ask himself. He was supposed to be happy that Kyle was happy with this girl, even if she seemed a bit of an earache to be around. But from the day that they got together, Leo could just never find it in him to feel genuine joy for his childhood best friend. He didn't really know why.

Maybe he was just so used to it being him and Kyle since kindergarten, growing up together... Kyle always having his back at a moment's notice, especially during highschool. But with Ellie being around, it was... Just exhausting sometimes. But he couldn't be a bad friend, right...? Even if he didn't really like her, he kept his distastes to himself... He kept what he really thoughts to himself to keep Kyle happy. Because that's what a real friend would do.

Isn't it?
