A huge crowd of District 12 citizens were waving to Ash and I on the train platform. Hazelle pushed past them, leading us onto the train.

Inside, the train looked fit for a king. There were golden chairs with red, velvet cushions and lavish rugs beneath our feet. At the end of this section, sat a large mahogany table and chairs with tea and biscuits already prepared, waiting for us.

'Well you two, there is afternoon tea of the table, but you must change beforehand.'

She pointed down the corridor to where our rooms were and the train set off.

I collapsed onto the silky duvet of the bed I was to be sleeping in for the next few days, and sighed. I brushed my hair  with my fingers and walked into the little room next door, which Hazelle said was my shower. But this was no ordinary shower. No. There were hundreds of different buttons to press, with different temperatures and hardness exploding out of the little spout. I washed my thick hair with the unfamiliar and strange smelling shampoos and conditioners, before pulling it into a low ponytail.

When I entered my room again, a young girl was placing some clothes onto the bed. When she saw me, she hastily scurried away. I called after her, but she had disappeared. Sighing, I pulled on the clothes left on the bed and stared in a mirror in the corner of the room. I was wearing a pale blue dress, with a white rose pattern. It was beautiful, nothing like I had every worn. I slipped on a pair of matching blue shoes and made my way back to the dining carriage.

When I arrived in the dining carriage, I saw Hazelle, Ash and and an older man were sitting at the table. Their heads turned when I walked through the door. I sank into the spare chair and shook hands with the man.

'Posy, this is Billy and Billy, this is Posy.' Said Hazelle.

'Hello, I'm Billy and I am going to be your mentor for the Games.' He said, grabbing a biscuit and taking a bite.

'Um. Hi. I'm Posy.'

'Billy was just telling me about his games, where they were in a savannah and most of the tributes died from dehydration, but Billy managed to find a watering hole and survived.' said Ash.

And politely, we talked until it was time for dinner.

The food was unreal. A banquet. Food in District 12 was almost non existent. A real treat would be a biscuit, but most meals were bread and soup, or even water with tea leaves, if we were desperate.

But on the table in front of me sat food I had never seen before. Gorgeous decorated cakes with the Capitol symbol on them, brightly coloured fruit that tasted so sweet and juicy, golden chicken drumsticks, and neat salads were only some of the delicious food provided for us.

I felt guilty for eating so much, when people were dying of starvation at home, but I just couldn't help the mouthwatering sight and smell.

The sky was pitch black by the time I escaped to my room. I closed the door behind me, and curled up under the duvet. The warm sheets enclosed me in a firm hug and I cried. In only a few weeks, I would be dead.

As I lay in the bed, I barely noticed Ash creep into my room and join me under the covers. He pulled me into a hug and we sat there for hours just hugging and crying.

'I missed those times when you would join me and Lucy to play when we were young.' He whispered.

'You were like a big brother to me.' I replied.

'And you were my little sister.' He agreed.
