A few days later, we arrived at the Capitol.
As the train came to a stop, thousands of cheers erupted from the platform outside. Ash and I walked over to the window, where so many people dressed in elaborately bright colours and hairstyles. I even think i saw someone who had painted their skin green. The people of the Capitol were very strange and dramatic.
Hurriedly, Hazelle led us form the train, through the excitable crowds, and into a different building. She guided me into a small stone room, where three oddly dressed people stood grinning.
'Hello Posy.' said one shaking my hand vigorously. 'My name is Zepto.' He had spiky green hair and matching green bushy eyebrows. He smiled excitedly whilst the others greeted me too.
'Hello I'm Paslee.' aid another, shorter man with long, white hair.
The other person clasped my hand and shook it gently. Her bright purple hair contrasted to her deathly pale skin. 'I'm Tril.' She led me over to a hospital like bed and passed me a gown.

I spent the next few hours being waxed and plucked and scrubbed at, until my shin was as soft and shiny as silk. When I was handed a mirror and and I stared at the face in it, I didn't believe it was my own. All of my blemishes were completely wiped away as though they had never existed. My once hollow cheeks were full and warm, and my once faded eyes were bright blue.
'Alright we are all done with you.' Said Tril, beaming. 'Please wait for Cove to come in.'
They quietly exited the room. I lay on the bed in silence. A few minutes later, a young man stode through the door, holding a tray, and sat me up in my chair.
'Hello Posy, I'm Cove and I will be your stylist in these Games.'
Cove had blood red hair which almost covered his eyes. He had deep green eyes and dark red lips. He wore a purple blazer and jet black trousers, what trailed on the heels of his black shoes.
He perched on the edge of my bed and offered me tea and biscuits. Greedily, I accepted and sat there discussing the nights events with Cove.

My first night in the Capitol was the vital moment when I had to prove myself to the Capitol. On the first evening in the Capitol, the tributes paraded around the streets of the Capitol, showing off to the possible sponsors later in the Games, finally finishing with an introduction from President Snow himself.
Hurriedly, Cove guided Zepto, Paslee and Tril in styling me in my outfit. Each tribute had to dress in something representing their district. As District 12 was coal mining, I was dressed a sparkly grey coal miners suit. My thick, long hair was tied back into an immaculate bun on the top of my head, with silver glitter layered on top. I wore a full face of unfamiliar makeup. Silver, glittery eye shadow thickly applied on my tired eyes. Matching glittery lipstick on my lips. And silver glittery nail polish on my newly styled nails. I looked like a glitter container.
Ash wasn't much better. He too wore a grey coal miners suit, with equally as much glitter, but he looked so much better in it than I did. I hadn't seen him since we were led in different directions after coming off the train platform. He shook my hand and winked at me, as Cove and Ash's stylist Diana ushered us onto our black chariot, led with two black horses in front. Once us and the other tribute in front had climbed onto our chariots, Hazelle and Billy appeared at our sides.
'Smile and try and get some people to like you.' whispered Billy.
'And try and make a good impression.' Added Hazelle, kissing our hands.
And then they stepped away from our chariot.
