Bright red lights flooded the stage, as I slowly walked on. The crowd erupted in cheers and cries as I approached Felix, who had stood up from on of the two chairs. He shook my hand and we sat down.

'So, welcome Posy, I love your dress. So you are 15?'

'14.' I corrected.

'Right. How are you finding the Capitol?' Asked Felix.

'Well, it's very different from home.' I answered, biting my lip. 'But the food is fantastic.' I added.

Felix laughed. 'Yes. Yes it is. So, do you have any siblings at home?'

'My sister Lucy is a few years older than me and my bother Axel is a few years younger.' I answered plainly. But then I remembered what Billy had said about getting everyone to like me so I played the sympathy card. 'I miss them both so much, they are my best friends. And to know that it is almost absolute that I will never see them again, breaks my heart.'

'Yes, well I truly hope you will make it home to them.' Said Felix. Clearing his throat, he asked. 'Do yo have any special skills, or anything interesting that you showed the Gamemakers in your assessment?'

'Well, Felix, surely you know that I am not supposed to tell you anything about the assessment.' I said. Beaming at the audience, I added, 'Besides, even if I did have a special skill, I wouldn't tell you, for I would want it to be a surprise.'

The audience cheered and clapped. I even heard a few 'we love you Posy!'s. Smiling and twiddling my hair around my finger, I answered a few more questions, before Felix kissed my hand and I gave a childish wave goodbye to the audience.

'Breathing a sigh of relief, Hazelle hugged me tightly and cried, 'Well done you were so great and sweet. The audience loved you.'

'Thank you.' I breathed, a sigh of relief escaping my lungs.

We turned to the nearest TV and saw Ash striding onstage. He wore a pale blue suit, with a white shirt. His dark hair was slicked back neatly and he wore a bright grin on his face. Him and Felix talked for a while, until Ash joined us offstage.

'So. Billy said that there is going to be  bloodbath at the cornucopia at the beginning of the Games. He said not to go for the stuff there, but I think we need to get some resources. Otherwise it will be hopeless to survive.' Announced Ash.

It was the night before the Games and Ash and I sat on my bed discussing tomorrows events.

'But it's dangerous, you could be killed.' I protested.

'I think I can handle myself. I'm am 17 you know.'

'Fine. But if you are getting a spear for yourself, please get me a belt of knives.'

Ash laughed. 'Of course I will.'

We spent a while longer discussing, until I checked the bedside clock and noticed how late it was.

'We should get some sleep.' I stated.

Ash agreed as silently slipped out of my room and into his own.
