The guards led us into the new camp; Camp Jaha was exactly how the Ark was. It was constant dictating from the guards and no freedom to do whatever. This whole thing was stupid and suffocating. What was the point on surviving down here on Earth if we didn't have a new beginning?

The first thing we did once we got to this new camp was to find the solution for Raven's leg. She had the choice to leave the bullet in or have surgery; She chose to go for the surgery. The one brutal thing from all of this was that she had to do it without anesthesia.

Raven put on a strong face; she didn't look terrified at all. On the other hand, I was scared for her. I just wanted her to be healthy again.

'Y/N, I want you to leave. I can't let you watch me.' Raven spoke in a soft tone. I understand where she was coming from and I don't think I was emotionally ready to watch this operation as well.

I walked up to my sister and kissed her on her forehead. 'I'll be right here when you're done. I love you.'

As I left the operation room, it was obvious that the surgery already began as Raven's scream echoed through the hallway.

Throughout the whole surgery, all I heard was her scream. With her voice being heard all over camp, no one knew how to react and I didn't either; I've never seen or heard my sister go through so much pain. The worst part was that there was nothing I can do to help. She always had my back and now all I can do was stand here and wait.

Couple of hours later, the door swung open as Abby Griffin came out from the room. 'It's done.'

Quickly standing up, I approached Abby. 'How is she?'

She smiled and nodded, 'The surgery was a success but I also need to patch up your legs.'

I followed her into the nurse room, seeing Raven sleep peacefully with Finn by her side. Sitting down on a stool, Abby checked on my thigh.

'How long ago did you get this wound?'

'Uhm, maybe 4 or 5 days ago? I lost count.'

Abby reached out for some alcohol as she rubbed it on my wound, making me wince. 'Sorry. It's infected.'

'Do I need stitches?'

She shook her head. 'You're good for now. Just don't do any physical activity other than walking.'

I nodded as I stared at my wound. The door then flung open, it was Marcus coming in. 'How's her leg, Abby?'

'She's fine for now.' Abby got up, finishing patching me up. 'I'll leave you two alone.'

Marcus started speaking as she left the room. 'How has Earth been?'

'Can I go see Blake and John?' I ignored his question, assuming that he didn't give a damn about my whereabouts.

'Last name basis? You were down here with Bellamy this whole time and you two didn't get along, huh?' He chuckled, asking me another question. 'You still dating that trouble maker?'

I sighed, 'It's none of your business.'

'You know Bellamy Blake tried to kill Jaha.'

'Yes I do but that's the past and he got pardoned from that. They are both good people.'

Marcus chuckled, 'They're nothing but trouble.'

'Coming from you, that's funny.' I smirked. 'Our people are missing and you don't want to search for them. You're a coward just like my mother. No wonder you two were so close. Isn't that why you sent us delinquents down here and not yourselves?'
