Our jaw dropped as we stared into an empty room; where are the others? Maya said that they should be here. The darkness and the quietness gave me slight fear as I was unable to understand what was going on.

'That's Mrs. Ryan.' Maya whispered as she saw her dead body on the floor. 'The guards must have took the others in the 5th floor.'

'We need to go save them. Monty must be up there and I have to rescue him.' Jasper raised his voice in anger.

Bellamy quickly disagreed, 'No that's too dangerous. Every guard is probably up there expecting us.'

'Well whatever the plan is, we need to get going before the lockdown or no one will be able to leave.'

The sudden noise startled all of us, but it was Monty hiding behind a shelf. 'I'm sorry I couldn't save everyone. Now Mrs. Ryan is dead and I didn't even try to stop the guards I'm so sorry. But I had to tell you guys, I needed to.'

Kneeling next to Monty, I hugged him and comforted him. 'It's okay, you did your best. What did you need to tell us?'

'The guards know about the people you're hiding in the harvest chamber. They're on their way right now.'

'We have to move. Now.' Bellamy shouted before he sprinted away.

Everyone was gone.

Our people, the grounders; it was like no one was ever here. Except for one person.

Maya's scream echoed through the chamber as we saw her father lying dead in the middle of the cold, dark room. She kneeled next to him, crying into his chest while she rubbed his bloody head as if it was going to make it better.

Bellamy and Monty watched over her as their face showed sympathy. Jasper sat next to her as he hugged her from behind, crying with her.

Leaving Bellamy, Monty and Jasper with Maya and her father, I went deeper inside the chamber to make sure if people were still in here. The grounder seemed like they didn't leave any trace but maybe our people were hiding somewhere; At least I hope they were.

Harvest chamber was pretty big and I knew that I had to keep looking. One person may turn out to be here just like Monty was on the third floor.

As I got deeper and deeper into the chamber, my hope slowly went down; we were too late. I turned around to get back to my friends when I saw two guards standing in front of me.

One of the guards aimed his gun on my face, 'Don't even think about screaming.'

My mind wasn't in panic because I might possibly die right now, I was worried about Bellamy and the others who were still by the entrance.

'Where are my friends?'

The guard smirked, 'Safe.'

Before I can retaliate, I felt a bag over my head. I kicked and screamed as someone lifted me up from behind. The rest was a blur.

My eyes opened as the guards pulled the bag off my head; took me a while to get used to light again.

'Y/N!' I heard Raven and Marcus screaming my name. As I looked over, they were tied up along with Abby.

'Good morning.' Emerson stood in front of me and smiled. 'Just in time for your sister to get drilled.'

As I tried to get my mind back on track again, my mind was all over the place. First, I didn't know why he ever knew Raven and I were sisters; That was just too creepy. Second, him drilling got me thinking that he was going to do the bone marrow treatment on Raven.

His face came closer to my face, grinning bigger than he was before. 'Don't worry, I won't kill your sister, I promise.'

Without hesitation, I headbutted Emerson causing him to groan in pain. 'You son of a bitch.'

He immediately grabbed the collar of my shirt, 'You think you're something don't you? Why don't I make you useful then.'

'No, please don't do this.' Marcus shouted as he tried to come to me, but couldn't.

'Don't you want my bone marrow? C'mon just take me.' Raven defended me as she tried to sway his decision.

Emerson shook his head, 'Nope, I change my mind. Tie her up.' He said before he shoved me to the ground.

Raven and Marcus shouted continuously as the guards picked me up from the ground and transferred me to the table. The table was too cold for me, but at this point I didn't even care. As I stared at the ground, I felt the straps around my wrist and my ankle.

This is it

I closed my eyes and clenched my fist as I prepared for the pain and death. The sound of the drill went off but that didn't distract me from the yelling of my sister and Marcus. I didn't want them to see me this way; weak and powerless.

The drill dug through my skin and the pain was like no other. The arrow that shot me in the thigh felt like nothing, the heart break after breaking up with John was nothing, the years that I spent with my abusive mother was nothing.

It felt as though my soul left my body; I couldn't take the pain anymore.

'Y/N, Y/N!' I heard someone calling my name from a distance; My blurry vision couldn't detect who was standing next to me.

The next thing I know, the person unstrapped me from the table then sat me up as they hugged me softly. I tried whispering, but I had no energy to even speak.

'Shh. It's okay. Abby patched you up, you're going to be okay monkey.'

The nickname already gave me an answer to who the person was; it was Marcus. Tears fell from my eyes as I slowly hugged him back.

Was the war over? Why weren't the guards coming to attack us? Either way, I was relieved that the bone marrow treatment was over.

The door swung open as someone rushed into the room. As my vision finally got clearer, I whispered his name. 'Bellamy.'

'Y/N.' His eyes were red and watery from crying, I didn't think that I would see him again.

Marcus left my hug and backed away as Bellamy approached me. He cupped my cheeks as a tear fell from his eye. 'We heard the guards come in the chamber... I didn't know you left us and I heard screaming then you were gone. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry.'

I cried with him, caressing his hand. 'It's not your fault.' I whispered to him as I gave him a light smile. 'But what happened to the guards? Emerson?'

Bellamy returned a smile, 'Don't worry. Everything's going to be okay.'
