For the next couple days I tried avoiding my parents. I really didn't want to leave London. I know it was just outside the city, but it meant no more metro. No more night walks around the city. No more anything. I had a sort of freedom in the city. Living in a house meant we'd have a yard and a backyard. I wouldn't have an excuse to go to a park to just get away from Elio or my mum for a while.
No matter how angry I was I still packed up all my stuff that wasn't going to be used while my time spent home over the break. Elio chose to leave his stuff unpacked so our parents could pack it for him after we left. I didn't feel like letting them go through my stuff. I didn't have much, but still. It felt like an invasion of privacy.
I was woken up by Blaise jumping on my bed. Our sleeping arrangements were that Elio and Draco shared Elio's bed, and Pansy and I shared mine while Blaise slept on the floor in my room. Apparently he likes how the floor feels and occasionally even sleeps on the floor at Hogwarts.
I was shocked by the revelation considering how he and Draco would have to be squished on a twin sized bed whenever they spent the night in my dorm. When I asked he just said, "I like annoying Draco."
Elio continued making the argument to have Blaise sleep in my room since my room was bigger than his. I honestly didn't mind if Blaise stayed in mine, but since Elio was so set in the decision I felt like going against him. My dad had joined the argument a while later agreeing with me so I automatically sided with Elio.
I opened my eyes to see Blaise laying down where Pansy was supposed to be sleeping. He was looking up at the ceiling. My clock on my bedside table said it was 11 A.M. I sat up and nudged Blaise with my arm. "What's wrong?" I asked. He looked deep in thought with something on his mind.
"I wrote to Theo days ago. He still hasn't answered."
"Maybe he's busy?" I suggested.
"I doubt it."
"Does he have a telephone?"
Blaise let out a loud half laugh and half scoff. "He's a pureblood, Aurora."
"Can purebloods not have telephones?"
"It's muggle made. No pureblood would voluntarily have a telephone in their home." I rolled my eyes and looked around my room.
"I can try writing to him too?" I asked.
"Yeah." he said as he got up. "Come on, breakfast is ready."
Blaise left my room and I got up to write to Theo.
I wrote:
Dear Theo,
How's your break been? It hasn't been long, but none of us have heard from you. Write back so I know that you're still alive. If you want to spend the break somewhere else beside your house you're still welcome to our place.
Aurora
I sent it off with our owl and went into the dining room to eat.
When we were done eating we all went to get ready for the day. For the past couple of days Elio and I have been taking Blaise, Draco, and Pansy everywhere in the city. Today we decided to go rent a bunch of movies so we can have a little marathon.
I wasn't big on watching movies so the only ones I really knew of were disney princess ones. They agreed on those so we just needed to go buy them. It was a rainy day and we were only going to one place so I wore sweats with a rain jacket.
When we left the apartment about an hour later I suggested going to one of my favorite libraries in the city.
"Aurora, we need movies. Not books. Do you understand?" he asked as if I were a five year old. I rolled my eyes and led them to the metro station.
