Theo's pov:

There were five guys in total, counting the one Aurora hit. I was surprised at how hard she hit him, but was even more surprised when all his friends started going towards her.

Matthew tried holding two back, but only managed with one. One of them managed to hit Aurora, on what looked to be her eye. She fell backwards on the ground and Elio grabbed and pushed that guy onto the ground roughly. I went towards Aurora automatically. She was faced down with her hands covering her cheek and eye.

As I knelt down I grabbed one of her wrists. "Let me see." I said softly. I could hear everyone arguing and no doubt trying to hit each other, but right now my focus was on Aurora. She slowly put one of her hands down. Her eyes were watery and the eye she got hit close to was overflowing with tears. She had a cut on her cheek and I could tell bruises were going to be forming soon.

After a couple seconds she began crying softly. I put my arms around her and she put her head onto my chest. "Let's go." Elio said. I looked up and he looked furious. I looked for the boys, but it looked like Matthew was pushing them away and scolding them. We had attracted a crowd and Elio was trying to leave quickly away from them.

"What about her?" I asked, referring to Matthew's little sister who was standing next to Pansy. She looked scared and I didn't just want to leave her with those guys.

"I don't fucking know, but we're leaving." Aurora still had her face against me. I got up slowly and she got up along with me too.

"You can come with us." I heard Pansy say to Alyssa. "Aurora has your telephone number, right?" I couldn't hear anymore after that because I began following Elio.

When we got out of the park Elio asked, "How is she?" Aurora had her head against me while looking down at the ground. Her hair was covering her face and she seemed to not be listening to Elio.

"Don't know." I responded as I tried to move her hair behind her ear.

She swatted my hand and said, "What I did was dumb, I know."

"No, it wasn't." Elio said.

"Yes it was." she said quietly enough that Elio didn't hear her. I could tell that she didn't have the energy to argue with Elio.

When we got back to the apartment all the lights were off. Elio went to the kitchen to go look for what to eat and I took Aurora to the bathroom. When I closed the door I put down the lid of the toilet seat so she could sit down. I rummaged through everything under the sink to try to find bandages, but I couldn't find any.

"Bandages are in the drawer." she said quietly. Right when I opened the drawer they were there. I got one out to use and grabbed a washcloth to clean her cheek.

When I touched her cheek she automatically hissed in pain and flinched back. "I know it hurts, but you have to stay still." I said comfortingly.

"You'd know about that." she said coldly. I stopped my hand midair and looked down at her. She looked straight at me and looked back down in shame. "I'm sorry."

"Let's talk." I choked out. Every time I've talked to Aurora since I've been here I always say something to upset her and I obviously wasn't going to tell her why I was bruised up, but I wanted to talk clearly with her without getting upset easily.

"About your bruises?" she asked hopefully. She looked back up at me and when I touched her cut with the washcloth she didn't flinch as much. I kept my eyes focused on her cut, not drifting to her eyes, and began talking.

"I'll never talk to you about my bruises. But about us, I do want to talk about." When I was done cleaning her cheek I grabbed the band-aid. I still hadn't looked into her eyes so I had no idea what she was thinking or feeling. I was too scared to find out.
