I wrote this letter to tell you that I am not your enemy

and I would like to be your apprentice.

I also have rare skills which I used to find out about you.

'I wonder who this is.' I say to Kusuo.

'I have no idea who it is, however it is surprising that there are others with psychic powers.'

'We need to find out who they are before they show up.'

Kusuo nods and takes off his invisible gloves, allowing him to use psychometry. It's the ability to read human thoughts and memories dormant in an object.

Right before he is about to touch the mysterious paper, the doorbell rings.

'Kusuo, can you get that? I'm going to go get changed out of pajamas.'

'Sure, but I already know it's the person who sent this.'

'So do I. That's why I'm changing.'

Kusuo teleports downstairs as I go to my room to change. I can hear him let the guest in.

I dig through my drawers, trying to find something decent to put on, and finally find a t-shirt and some jeans.

Putting them on, I hear the two walk upstairs and enter Kusuo's room.

"Wow! Your house is actually pretty normal!" The sender of the letter says through the wall.

Why did he even bother sending us one if he was going to come so soon though?

He looks around the room.

"Ah, Sorry. Let me introduce myself! Nice to meet you, I am Reita Toritsuka."

'Girls, here I come!' he thinks

What the heck?

"I am 16 years old...well you can use telepathy to learn all that. I've heard all sorts of rumors about you. Well, I did hear them from ghosts."

'I see. You can communicate with ghosts.' Kusuo says to him telepathically.

"Can you see ghosts?"

'I can't'

"That must be nice. I can see 15 ghosts right now."

'There are that many right now? It's like they are having a party.'

"The ghosts came to see your psychic powers...Forget about that! Please accept me as your apprentice! I can't really do anything..."

'Well you can see ghosts, so you must be able to do something.'

"I can only see and talk to them. I was born in a temple. I have always had those abilities."

'You were born with them? So was I.'

"As a child, I couldn't even tell the difference between humans and ghosts. My grandma taught me how to spot the difference. Ghosts do not have bodies, so you can tell by touching them. Then I realized it...my grandmother was a ghost."

"When I got down, my grandfather consoled me, but he was a ghost too. So I started touching everyone. People got angry and called me a pervert. I was only doing it to check if they were ghosts or not."
