After all the traditional wedding "things", it's time to just celebrate with all their friends and family.
Evelyn and Jordan and the boys approach Amber and Joe. Evelyn actually embraces Amber, "Amber I'm so happy for you. You are definitely one of the most beautiful brides I've ever seen. Joe you better take care of this one, you'll never find anyone like her again. I'm going to head home with the boys, Eric is getting fussy. It's past his bedtime. Have a wonderful night. And have fun on that honeymoon." She kisses Amber's cheek, then Joe's. "Pops are you leaving too?"
Jordan shakes his head, "No I'm just walking them out. I'll be back to celebrate and see you guys off." He trails after Evelyn, holding onto Dante's hand. Joe grabs Amber around the waist and pulls her back against his chest, "You ready to get this party started? I hear the call of the dance floor." He grinds his hips against her ass and she squeals with delight. "I've got to change out of this dress first. Give me five minutes babe." Amber looks around for Andi, but doesn't see her, she's going to need help getting out of her dress. Amber spots Sara Beth coming from the restrooms. "I am so happy to see you, I need help."
"What can I do Hija?"
"I need to get changed into my party dress and I can't get out of my dress alone. I'd have asked Joe, but I'm not sure we'd have made it back to the party." Sara Beth nods her head. "I can totally get that. I'm more than happy to help."
"Sara can I ask you something really personal?'
Sara Beth keeps unbuttoning Amber's dress, "You can ask me anything Amber."
"Why didn't you keep trying to get in touch with Jordan? I mean I know you were young and pregnant and really scared. But didn't it ever cross your mind that we could have been a family? You've both been so good to me since we've found each other. Please don't get me wrong. I've had an amazing life. You picked wonderful parents for me. And I'm so grateful for that, but I can't help but wonder why you didn't try harder. You obviously really cared about him."
Sara Beth gets to the last button. She helps Amber get out of her dress. "Amber, I wanted more than anything for us to be a family. I wanted to be your mom so badly. But I was so young and I didn't want you to start your life at such a disadvantage, first with a teenage mom with no family, second without a father. I didn't want to ruin Jordan's life either, he'd worked so hard to get where he was. So instead of ruining both your lives just so I could be your mom, I decided to do what was best for you. When I found James and Susan, I knew right away they were your mom and dad. I just prayed one day you'd find me. Which you did and I couldn't be happier that you also found Jordan. It brings me overwhelming happiness that you have welcomed us into your life."
Amber loves her answer. "So have you and Jordan spoken much? Have you gotten a chance to catch up?" Sara Beth gets Amber's party dress out of her garment bag and carries it over to Amber. "We talked the day he came to my apartment when he started thinking he knew he was your father. Then we talked on the phone when you asked me to call him after your left the tour. He's sent a text here and there, always about you, or a picture of the two of you. But no we haven't really just talked about ourselves, just about you. We only had one week together over twenty years ago. It wasn't anything more than a silly fling between two kids. But that was a week I'll hold in my heart forever."
Amber's quiet as she gets into her super cute, super short navy blue party dress. Amber's trying to decide whether to tell her what she wants so badly to tell her. By the time she finishes getting ready her mind is made up, "Pops wrote a song about you know."
"What are you talking about Amber?"
"Listen to Summertime, on their new album. It's so obviously about you. Okay I better get back to my husband, he'll think I've run off. Thank you for helping me get changed." Amber reaches up and takes off the necklace Sara Beth let her borrow. "Thank you for lending me your luck. I love you Sara."
Amber finds Joe with Donnie and Danny taking a shot at the bar. "Hey now, don't go getting my husband too drunk. He's still got a marriage to consummate later tonight. And lots of dancing to do before that." The DJ starts playing the New Kids latest album, it is a new kids wedding afterall. Joe grabs Amber and twirls her out onto the dance floor for Dirty Dancing, one of their sexier songs. Amber is all over Joe, Joe is all over Amber. They can't get enough of each other. Luckily pretty much everyone who was still at the party were their friends. It was like the scene in the movie Dirty Dancing, when all the staff kids are dancing in that out of the way cabin. Everyone was dancing together. It was one particular "couple" that caught Amber's eye, Andi and Jordan. They were dancing really close, Jordan had his hands on her hips, he was whispering in her ear. She was laughing and running her hands over his chest. They looked very close.
Joe caught Amber staring at Jordan and Andi and he didn't like the look on her face. He turns her to face him and his mouth crashes down on hers. He kisses her like a man who needed her mouth to survive. There was so much passion in that one kiss. He breaks the kiss and whispers in her ear, "Do you know what I plan to do to you tonight?" She giggles. "Hopefully something really dirty."
"Why Mrs. McIntyre, are you saying you want me to do something really dirty to you? That can be arranged. How about some drinks first, maybe a little more dancing?" At the mention of more dancing, Amber scans the crowd and sees that Jordan and Andi are still dancing together. They just look awfully familiar with each other. She blows it off, she's probably just seeing something that's really not there. Time to stop paying attention to them and just pay attention to her hot ass husband.
After a few more songs and watching Andi grind all over Jordan during them all, Amber decides to "rescue" him. "Mind if I steal him away for a dance?" She doesn't really give Andi a choice though. "Oh of course, be my guest. I need a drink anyway."
"How's it going Pops? You enjoying yourself?"
Jordan smiles down at his daughter. "Yeah I'm having a great time. You? Was your wedding day everything you ever dreamed it would be?"
"Definitely. And so much more. What's going on with Andi and you? You two seem close all of a sudden."
Guilt rushes over Jordan. He should have known better than to be dancing with Andi like that. He wished he could just be honest with his daughter, but telling her that he was separated from his wife and had been seeing her best friend since they got back from the cruise was an all around bad idea. He didn't want to see hurt in her eyes, especially if he was the cause of it. So he lies to her. "Oh sweetie she's just being nice to this old man. I think she feels sorry for me. Young woman like her don't go for old men like me."
"I did. Hell I just married one. Just be careful Pops. You know who you should ask to dance? Sara Beth. You two need to talk, catch up, get to know each other again."
Jordan looks over at Sara Beth, she's dancing with Danny right now. Jordan can't help but see that young girl she used to be whenever he sees her now. "Okay Amber, I'll go ask her to dance, just for you."
Just as Jordan asks Sara Beth to dance, the song Summertime starts to play. Jordan looks at Amber and she just shrugs.
Joe's arms encircle her from behind, "You did that didn't you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about Joseph." She turns in his arms and they begin to move to the music.
