sapnap's pov

i shift awake, it's been a whole year, and two months since the cruise ended. it's december, 5 days til christmas.

karl was sleeping, peacefully, next to me.

he was such a pretty sleeper, i couldn't complain.

me and him decided to get a home up in the mountains of california, we didn't find anywhere else we really liked. we found out we were cottage people.

i stood up from bed, careful not to wake karl.

i walk over to the pantry, and grab the hot cocoa mix, and then two mugs. me and karl had matching mugs, when you put them next to eachother they formed a pink heart, with karl's logo in the middle. he started streaming minecraft, and a fan had gifted the mugs to us.

we hadn't announced that we were dating until the new year, 3 months after the confession happened.

i carefully grab the mugs and put on the tap, water filling both.

i then take the cocoa powder and put about a spoon and a half in both, before mixing it up and putting it in the microwave to warm it, and then lastly putting in marshmallows.

i walk out of the kitchen and see karl, who was awake sitting on our bed.

"good morning, beautiful." i say lovingly, before handing him the cup of hot cocoa.

"oh! thank you baby!" he looks up at me and grins, before i sit down i lay a kiss on his head.

"of course." i smile before sitting down beside him and carefully putting the mug up to my lips and carefully sip it.

"do you wanna go into the living room? i don't wanna spill this on the new bedsheets." karl laughs.

"yeah, sure."

i stand up first, before letting out my free hand to help him up from the bed.

we walk outside of our room, before leaving we put on our matching slippers, that yes, a fan made us.

we sit down next ti eachother on our leather couch. before karl could even sit down i put down my mug on the coffee table and pick him up, carrying him down with me as I sit down.

"SAPNAP I ALMOST JUST SPILLED MY HOT COCOA!" karl yells at me.

"BUT I WANTED TO CUDDLE YOU OKAY." i yell back at him. it was a usual thing to have this type of argument every morning. of course we didn't mean to yell, we were just playing around with eachother.

i grab my hot cocoa and sip it again. karl is still giggling as he sips his hot cocoa as well.

me and karl had went on a cruise back to hawaii for our year anniversary. it was nice, and we really enjoyed it. on the night of our anniversary, at sunset, we went to the exact spot on the beach he kissed me on, and well, we did just that, we kissed eachother in the same spot just like we did a year before. he still had the same soft lips like he did that night. everything had changed in a year.

my mental health is starting to get better, same with karl's. we haven't cut in a few months, and we've helped eachother through everything. he still thinks about everything sometimes, but i always help him through it. we visit sister's grave every summer, and on some nights we talk to the moon.
