It's been two months since my mum's death. I took some time off to go back home for a little. Well, it didn't really feel like home without her there anymore. It was a town I grew up in now. I mourned nearly every day.

The avengers would check in a few times a week but I knew I couldn't mourn forever. I've been back at the compound for maybe two weeks and I hated how everyone treated me. Like I was fragile or could be broken. Hell, even Steve had stopped the insults and comments.

"Hey Nat," I said as I walked into the training room to see her punching a boxing bag. She nodded at me making it known that she had acknowledged my presence. I spent an hour or two just running on the treadmill and then went back to my room to shower.

I got out and got dressed again. "Can we talk?" Steve asked "maybe later tinker bell" I smiled and he groaned at the nickname. He looked nervous, a red tint was growing on his cheeks and the tips of his ears.

I went to the lab to see tony and Bruce working on something "hey fellas" I said as I walked in examining the mess the lab was in. Both mumbled quick hellos as they were busy. "Okk," I said as I decided to instead find Steve and figure out what he had to say.

He was back in our room just where I left him. "Talk," I said from the door leaning against the frame "sit," he said as he nudged towards my bed. I nodded a little worried as to what was going on.
