I found Steve in a meeting room alone. He looked deep in thought and I seemed to have startled him as he jumped slightly when I walked in.
"Let's talk," I said and he nodded motioning for me to sit across from him. "So" I started not quite sure how to get my words across. "So" he copied mocking me.
"I'll give us a shot," I said as he looked at me eyebrows raised seemingly surprised "I mean like a proper chance, I want to try the relationship" I continued as Steve slowly nodded processing my words.
"New territory for both of us," he said confirming my suspicions that he has never been in a relationship before "we can make it work" I reassured.
"I know that even if it doesn't work then we can still go back to hating each other" I laughed trying to lighten the mood which seemed to have worked as he seemed to be laughing with me.
I rolled my chair closer to his face to face now as I studied his emotions he seemed to be staring right into my eyes like he was taking in my features up close for the first time ever.
