Chapter 11

Chase

"What the hell are you watching?" Ethan asked, throwing himself on the other couch, a beer in his hand.

"Shit, I don't know. I think it's called The Grudge or something."

"But you hate horror movies..."

It wasn't a question. I did hate them. They actually scared the hell out of me and I never slept good after watching them. Such a pussy thing to admit to, I know.

"Scarlet mentioned this movie a while ago, said it was one of her favorites. It's freaky as hell. She's crazy for liking this crap."

Ethan laughed. "She's always loved this shit."

My phone started buzzing on the coffee table. Kelsey's name highlighted on the screen, showing incoming text messages. I groaned and reached for it.

Kelsey: Come cuddle

Kelsey: I miss you

"How's that going?"

I lifted my head, meeting Ethan's eyes. He knew something was up between me and Kelsey.

"Dude, I don't know. I'm not feeling it but it's your girls sister. How do I end something like that?"

The buzzing in my hand brought my attention back to my phone.

Kelsey: I need sexy time, come over.

"What happened, man? I thought everything was going good?"

I'm in love with your little sister. I can't stop thinking about her or how it feels when my dick is inside of her. All the sexy little noises she makes. I can't stop thinking about how I'm the only man that's ever touched her. Fucked her. Saw her face while an orgasm rolled through her body.

Taking a long pull of my beer, I shook my head. I didn't want to talk about Kelsey right now.

Ring ring ring

"Answer it. Stop being a dick."

I flipped Ethan off and answered. "Hey."

"Did you get my messages? I've been trying to get ahold of you all day. I went to lunch with Leah and Scarlet today."

That got my attention. Scarlet.

"Oh yeah? How was that?"

"Good! She's such a sweet girl, I can see why you all like her so much. She has a date tonight though and couldn't go —"

I cut her off. "A date?"

"Huh?"

"You said Scarlet has a date."

And this got Ethan's attention. He was definitely listening to my conversation now if he hadn't been before.

"Oh yeah," she said giggling. "Sorry. Yeah, she had plans tonight and couldn't go get Pedicures with me and my sister but I enjoyed our lunch. I definitely want to do it again."

She clearly wasn't going to elaborate. I could bet money that she was going to see that fuck boy Cory again. I mentally cussed.

"Well, Ethan and I are having a little bit of a boys night so can I get a raincheck?"

After a long pause, "I guess... Chase, are we okay?"

"What? Of course. I just bailed on him the last time and don't want to be a dick and do it again."

"Okay, have fun. Call me tomorrow. I love —"

"Thanks Kels, see ya."

I lean back onto the couch and smacked my legs with my hands. I couldn't keep playing this fucking game with Kelsey. I had to end things with her, sooner rather than later.
