Kate knocked on Kris' door then turned to Castle when they heard what sounded like a stampede on the other side. Kate had a pretty good idea what was going on, having not missed Russo's bright yellow Jeep parked by the curb when she and Castle arrived. Castle gave her a knowing smirk as she pounded on the door again.

After what sounded like a body hitting the floor quickly followed by Kris' muffled "Frick", the door swung open to reveal a more than slightly disheveled Kris Beckett. Her hair was sticking out everywhere and she was wearing nothing but a Ninja Turtles blanket wrapped tightly around her.

"Uh, hey?" Kris eyed the couple nervously.

"Is that a Ninja Turtles snuggie?" Castle asked, excitement clear in his voice.

"Yeah." Kris replied slowly. "What are you guys doin' here?"

"We were on our way back from brunch with dad, which you missed by the way, and thought we would swing by." Kate narrowed her eyes at her younger sister, trying to hide the grin that was threatening to break free.

"Oh yeah. I, uh, something came up." Kris stammered as she pulled the blanket tightly around her.

"Can I get a Ninja Turtles snuggie?" Castle whispered anxiously, causing Kate to smack him in the chest with the back of her hand.

"Are you gonna let us in or do we have to stay out in the hall all day?" Kate crossed her arms and stared at Kris.

"Uh. Yeah, sure." Kris opened the door and stepped back to let her sister and Castle inside.

When Kate and Castle entered the living room, Russo was sitting on the couch with a giant bowl of cereal, in sweatpants and shirtless. Kate noticed what looked like a pair of Superman underwear hanging from the lamp in the corner. Kris rushed by in a flurry of green, quickly grabbed the underwear then took off down the hall toward her bedroom. Castle took a seat beside Russo on the couch while Kate went down the hall after Kris. Kris was throwing on a pair of jeans and a Walking Dead t-shirt when Kate entered her room.

"I swear, do you own anything that doesn't have some sort of TV show or movie plastered on the front of it?" Kate said as she sat down on Kris' bed.

"Of course I do. There's a few Rolling Stones shirts in the closet somewhere." Kris replied as she fixed her mess of hair. "God, I need a haircut. I can't believe I've let this shit grow out this much."

"I think it looks good." Kate said, laughing as Kris rolled her eyes. "So, something came up huh?"

"Don't start. He refuses to let me out of his sight with all this Pavlov nonsense going on so he's been here all weekend." Kris replied as she pulled on her red Converse sneakers.

"And you're complaining?" Kate eyed her sister.

"Hell no." Kris replied with a smirk. "I am more than reaping the benefits of him being here."

Castle was flipping through the channels on Kris' TV, settling on Finding Bigfoot, while Russo downed the milk from his cereal bowl. The men sat in comfortable silence for a few moments before Russo finally spoke.

"Big day's almost here, huh?" Russo said as he turned to Castle.

"Yes it is. And, let me just say that I cannot wait." Castle replied with a smile.

"Nervous?" Russo questioned the writer.

"You know, I've been married twice before and I was never nervous. This time though with Beckett... It's not really nerves. I just can't wait to start our life together. To start our next adventure." Castle answered.
