My One and Only

Confessing

{I'm sorry this update took a while too, I wasn't really sure where I was going with this but I have a really good twist coming up ;) I also drew Ryou and I was proud of myself XD but enjoy this next chapter!}

We finished eating and made our way home. It was cold, and even though we were only a block away from my apartment, we were almost frozen.

"R-Ryou, it's r-really c-cold." Cecile hid her face in her scarf. Her nose was sticking out and it was really cute.

"It's ok-kay Cecile. We're alm-most there." I assured.

We finally reached the building after what felt like hours in the cold. I quickly opened the door and we both ran up the stairs. I opened my "D69" door with haste and we finally found real warmth. I took my jacket and Cecile's and hung them up on the hook next to the door.

"I keep extra sheets and blankets in that closet over there if you'd like one," I point to my linen closet inbetween the two bedrooms in the small hallway. I had some really fluffy ones in there and I'm sure she'd appreciate them.

"Oh thank you so much." Her eyes lit up and she skipped to the closet.

I sighed and sat on the baby blue couch that sat in the larger area of the apartment. Cecile came over to the couch with a fluffy, white fleece blanket.

"Great choice," I acknowledge.

Cecile sat next to me and I kind of shifted awkwardly. I was anticipating the moment when she freaks out because I have another person basically inside me.

Should I tell her now? What if she liked one side of me more..? Maybe I shouldn't-oh no. She's closing her eyes. GO RYOU DO IT NOW BEFORE YOU-

"Hey Cecile?" I whisper.

She looks over at me, "yes Ryou?"

"Um, I'm going to tell you something that I feel you should know before you stay here for a while.." My heart was beating against my chest. Why am I so nervous about this? Could it be that I'm afraid to lose her..?

"Oh..okay go on," she began to look worried.

"Well, you see," I show her the millennium ring that I kept in my shirt all day, "I have this thing...and...it holds another me-"

My millennium ring began to glow brighter than it ever has before.

"Oh..?" She didn't seem scared. In fact, she seemed to be more interested than anything.

"And there's a soul inside and sometimes," I bit my lip, "sometimes it takes over my body and other times, it can change into a spirit-like thing and..he isn't the nicest person you can meet.." My voice trailed off. I feel kind of dumb because, well, it wasn't as big of a deal as I made it out to be..but it also isn't a detail I can skip over.

"Oh, well...that's quite fascinating. Ya know..during dinner I thought something was odd. I would just like to know who I am talking to at times is all I ask," she chuckled.

I was so happy with her reaction. I just couldn't keep the grin off my face.

"Okay! well, I could try to get him to introduce himself to you formally and not secretly," I blushed a little but I didn't care.

-No.

But Kura...please?

-Yadonushi, I don't want to.

But why? You seemed fine earlier...

-I just don't want to right now.

Well, you're going to do it eventually. You can do it later I guess...are you feeling okay?

-yes. I'm fine.

Oh..okay...

"Ryou?"

I opened my eyes to see Cecile poking my face curiously. A shade of pink washed over me. I quickly got up to hide my face.

"I'm alright, Kura doesn't feel well right now so..he'll probably say hi later."

"Oh it's okay, by the way, is this spirit fellow the Bakura you mentioned earlier? hence the nickname Kura?" She smiled at me and I couldn't hold in my grin.

"Yes, we are very close, obviously but..i don't know I've just been worried about him and I'm not sure why.." my smile faded. Cecile came over to where I was standing and wrapped her arm around my shoulder.

"Oh Ryou," she said sympathetically,"do you need to talk about it?"

"No, I'm alright Cecile thank you."

"Okay."

There was a moment of silence that was broken by a lovely yawn from Cecile.

"Wow I'm exhausted. I'm so ready for bed."

"Oh right, I'll show you to your room." I walked into the tiny hallway and put my hand on the doorknob. Before I had the chance to turn the knob, the door was opening. I was in shock to see Bakura standing in the doorway, looking at the two of us.

"Oh, Bakura...greetings," I got kind of nervous. I was definitely not expecting this.

"Hello Ryou. This must be Cecile? nice to meet you." He reached out his hand for a shake.

"Hello, it's nice to finally meet you with my knowledge," Cecile shook his hand smiling.

"Well, this will be your room I guess. If you'll excuse me I need to talk with Ryou for a while. Please enjoy your sleep."

This is weird. Bakura is being nice. This never ever happens.

"Shall we Ryou?" He looked at me with his deep brown eyes. A chill went down my back and we both walked into my room.
