~Ryou's P.O.V.~

When I found that Bakura wasn't at the café or anywhere near it, I began to panic.

He couldn't have just...left. ..could he...? Did he?

I soon grew aware of how late it had gotten and how long I've been walking.

"Wow this café is farther then I thought..", I said to myself.

I began to make my way back to my apartment. If Cecile wasn't there, I would continue on in the other side of town. He's got to be here, I know he didn't leave.

I reached into my pocket to pull out my gloves. My special gloves. My special cow gloves that were so adorable. The ones that Bakura got me.

I looked at the fuzzy little black and white face that stared back at me. It was so cute and it made me miss Bakura even more.

I soon found myself walking faster and faster and eventually running back to my apartment.

Thoughts of never seeing Bakura again swirled my mind. I don't think I'll be able to live without him...I'm surprised I've lasted this long. I remember when I first met Bakura...it seemed so long ago but I know the story like the back of my hand.

~Flashback~

"Daddy!!" I said excitedly as my father walked in the door. He came back just in time for my 5th birthday. I was so happy he came back, all I wanted was him to be home.

"Oh Ryou!! You're looking so big! How's the birthday boy?" My father asked.

"Great now that you're home daddy," I replied and hugged him tight.

"I brought something for you Ryou, I found it while I was digging and thought of you, so I want you to have this," he handed me a strange, ancient egyptian artifact.

"Wow, this is so cool! Thank you so much!" I gave him another hug and looked at what I later discovered was called the Millennium Ring.

My father tucked me into bed and I put my ring on my nightstand.

"Good night my sweet boy," he kissed my forehead and rubbed my cheek.

"Good night daddy," I smiled back.

He exited the room and closed the door. I sprung up and turned on my lamp to look at the ring once again. I thought it was so interesting, I didn't want to let go of it.

Suddenly the ring began to glow. I got scared and tossed it to the edge of the bed. It shined brighter and brighter and then it stopped.

I went to pick it up again, but it wasn't there.

"Where did it go?" I gasped.

"Where did what go?" A dark, raspy voice answered.

I jumped, "wh-who said that..?"

A transparent figure appeared at the edge of the bed. He had long, white hair, kind of like mine, but a bit messier. He looked like...kind of like an older version of myself...

"Wh-who are y-you...?" I whispered. I've never been so scared in my entire life. I hid under my covers to try to feel just a little safer, even though I knew I was completely visible.

"I am the spirit of the Millennium Ring...Ryou is it? Hello Ryou," he held out his hand expecting a shake, "you may call me Bakura, or whatever your heart desires to call me."

I looked at him puzzled. But he seemed nice enough, so I shook his hand.

"Well, you seem to already know my name," I laughed.

"Yes...now lovely to meet you young man, but I need to do some things so if you'll excuse me.." his voice trailed as he got off the bed and walked over to the door. He had to pass by my side of the bed to get there, so as he passed I grabbed his arm.

His eyes widened as he stared at my hand around his arm.

"H-how...how are you able to do that?!" He said surprised.

"Oh..um I don't know I just grabbed your arm because I didn't want you to leave," I tried explaining the unknown. A smile came to my lips as I ended my sentence.

"Oh, um..alright then, I'll stay here with you," he replied. He didn't seem to mind, but probably because he was in the presence of a child.

"So, um, what's your name again?"

"Bakura."

"Oh, can I call you Baku?"

"Why would you want to call me that?" He glared at me for a moment but soon softened his stare.

"Because I'm not sure how to say your name." I smiled again. It was easy to smile for me at 5 years old.

"Oh, that's fine Ryou." He smiled back.

"Hey, do you know of any games?"

The man I called Baku laughed hysterically at my comment.

"Don't you think it's getting late little one? I think it's time for you to sleep." He walked over to where I was sitting.

The man tucked me in a second time.

"Good night Yadonushi." He said.

"Good night Baku...um," I whisper, "what's a yado-what ever?"

He chuckled, kissed my forehead and disappeared. I found the ring sitting on my nightstand the next morning.

~End of Flashback~

I miss him so much.

Lost in thought, I found myself back at my apartment. As I enter the front doors of the building I heard running. Multiple footsteps getting closer and closer with panting following them.

A familiar voice called out to me

"RYOU!"
