With one final moan, you let your head fall limply against the pillow, pulling the sheets up over your chest, still panting slightly. Emily rolls over to the other side, her head peeking out of the covers as she lays down on the bed beside you. She stays like that for a second before turning around so she can lay on her back, facing the ceiling as she catches her breath beside you.

You both stay like that for a few moments, neither of you saying something, basking in the comforting post-coital silence. It's not awkward or uncomfortable, but just... quiet, in a good way. The way your arrangement works is that you usually leave right after, and go back to being friends and co-workers until the next time you meet up. It works well for both of you, and you honestly couldn't complain at all, it was a good distraction from everything else in your life.

"I should get going," you murmur, sitting up straight with the bedsheet still covering your chest. Emily sits up, too, rubbing her eyes and smoothing down her hair. "Do you want me to drive you? I know you took a cab here."

You nod your head, "Sure, if it's not a problem for you." She brushes you off dismissively, re-dressing herself and walking into her washroom, "I wouldn't have asked if it was!" She hollers back, leaving you alone in her bedroom. You slide on your bra and underwear, pulling your leggings up to your waist and throwing your hoodie over your head, pulling the hood up to hide the mess that's your hair. Emily re-enters her bedroom fully dressed, sliding on a clean pair of socks before following you out into the living room, where you're met with Thai takeout that you'd brought over for lunch.

"You ready to head out?" You nod your head, grabbing your wallet from the front door and walking down to the car with her, discussing the latest episode of a tv show you both watch, getting into a heated debate that lasts up until she pulls up to the front of your apartment. You furrow your brow when you see Emily unbuckling her seatbelt, "Let me walk you up. I want to say hi to Luna." You both step out of the car and she follows you down the hallway, chuckling and pointing to your door.

"I'm not your side piece, am I?" She gestures to the flowers left on your doorstep and you roll your eyes, picking up the bouquet with one hand while you dig for your keys, already hearing the scratching of paws on the other side. You're not even inside the apartment yet and she already knows you're home.

You place the flowers on the counter and walk over toward the door to see Emily crouched down, Luna jumping up and down ecstatically as Emily pets her. "Don't get me wrong, I love Sergio, but I love this dog." She instinctively goes to lick Emily's hand, causing Emily to shriek in surprise, wiping her hand on her pants. She stand up from the ground, wiping her knees while you go to pick up Luna so she doesn't run off.

"I guess I'll see you at work, yeah?"

"Yeah, I had fun today," you use the hand that isn't holding Luna to pull her into a side hug and place a kiss on her cheek as she walks away. Once she's turned the corner, you place Luna down on the ground as she immediately runs to smell your shoes on the ground.

You approach the kitchen counter to see a bouquet of yellow roses wrapped up nicely. You don't have to look at the card to know who they're from, but you look anyways out of mere curiouisity. You had expected Spencer to give up by now, but he's been fairly insistent, only growing bolder with his actions. It had started out with the cup of coffee on your desk in the morning, then unfinished files mysteriously being finished for you, he even went as far to fix a broken wheel in your chair that didn't make it spin right. To be fair, though, you're sure he had Derek do the last one for him, because there's no way Spencer could have done that himself.

Now it seems as though he's resorted to sending you flowers. The gesture, though sweet, has yet to make you forget what he did, or make you forgive him. You feel yourself being ready to forgive him, but you can't find it in you to allow yourself to open up to him, and be vulnerable with him after he took advantage of it last time. He told you he'd wait for you, but truthfully, you aren't sure if you want him to. He shouldn't wait around for you to forgive him and go running back into his arms, because you don't know if that'll ever happen. Spencer can send you all the pretty gifts in the world, but it won't make you automatically trust him again. It needs to be earned back.
