A friend. That's all George thought Dream was. Dream, on the other hand, wanted to be more than friends. It felt like George was so far away, even when he was right by his side. He couldn't have him. He wanted him so bad. He needed him. George had never thought about his feelings toward Dream. He always thought that they were just good friends, and he never had any doubts about that fact.

George pulled away from the taller boy. "Let's clean up," George said as he began quickly slipping off his bloody shirt, revealing his smooth skin. Dream was hypnotized by it, but when George looked in his direction he stepped out of his trance. George didn't tease him about it this time like he normally would have, because he knew the state that the blonde was in. Instead, he ignored it and walked to the kitchen to get some gauze bandages.

Dream was always prepared for everything. Plus, he needed them anyways since he was always bleeding. When George came back, he wet a paper towel and began to clean Dream's wounds, wrapping them in bandages when he finished. As he slumped back on the bed, he opened his mouth to speak.

"Dream, can we talk?"

"Um, yea."

"Did you have a reason?"

Dream felt like lying. Honestly, what was he supposed to say? Was he supposed to tell him the truth? Was he supposed to say that he cut himself because he had realized that he was in love with his best friend?

"Um, I- I had a reason but-"

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

Dream smiled and looked down at the smaller boy. He was relieved. He couldn't ask for a better friend. Friend. Dream hated describing George with that word.

"Thanks, George. You're a great- uh- f- friend," Dream said nervously as he scratched the back of his neck. That word was his biggest enemy. Why did he say that? "No problem, Dream," the small boy said as he wrapped his arms around the taller.

Today was the day. The day that George and Sapnap had to go back home. "I'm gonna miss you, George." The brunette sighed as he looked up at the blonde. "Dream," he lifted his hand and placed one on the taller boy's cheek. "Please do me a favor. I'm going to text you every day to make sure you are okay. Please respond." The blonde chuckled slightly. "Yeah yeah, or else you'll break in again." George slipped his hand off Dream's face and they stood in uncomfortable silence.

"I'm gonna miss you so much," George said as he threw himself into the blonde's chest, sobbing into his shirt. "George, it's gonna be okay. You can always visit. I promise I will text you every day." George stepped back and wiped his tears. "I guess this is goodbye," George sighed. "For now," Dream said. He looked over at Sapnap. "Bye, man. I'll miss you too." Sapnap chuckled. "Yeah, I hope so. I've been the biggest third wheel this entire trip."

With that, the two walked out to their car. The door shut behind them. Dream was alone.

Weeks went by and Dream kept his promise. He texted George back every day. He had gone back and forth with cutting and he hadn't wasn't clean, but he was doing better. Especially with George's help. Everything was good. Well, not everything. He was still in love with George and he hadn't admitted his feelings.

He couldn't admit his feelings to George, but he needed to get it off his chest. Sapnap. That was the best way. He could tell Sapnap. There was a problem with that though. He wanted to get everything off his chest. He wanted to tell him about every inch-long scar that covered his arms. Well, that was a lie. He didn't want to, he had to. So, he did. He picked up the phone and began to dial Sapnap's number.

"S- Sapnap?"

"Hey, Dream. What do you need?"

"I- um. Do you have time to talk?"

"Sure, what about?"

"Uh- well, I need to tell you a few things."

"Sure, go ahead."

"Well, I- um- I have feelings for George."

"What? Dude, I fucking knew it!"

"There's one more thing."

"Remember how George and I were acting weird when you were here?"

"Yeah?"

"Well- I- I've been self-harming for a while. That's why George was acting so caring. He was worried about me. I'm sorry, Sapnap."

"Why are you saying sorry? That's not something to apologize for. I don't really know what to say. I guess I'm just a little shocked. I feel like I should've known sooner."

"You don't have to say anything. I just needed to get that off my chest. I couldn't keep it a secret any longer. Anyways, I have to go but I'll talk to you later. Okay?"

"Alright bye, love you."

"Love you too."

A/N: If any of you make it seem weird that Sapnap said "love you" I swear. Please, it's obviously in a friend way- please. Anyways, hope you enjoyed it. Leave suggestions in the comments.
