As promised, Chanyeol got ready to meet up with Baekhyun. "Where are you going now? Our lunch is later but you're getting ready already? That eager?", Minyoung rolled her eyes at her son. "Not for lunch Mom, I'm meeting Baek. He said he had something to tell me." the lady squealed in happiness.
"What is it about?"
"Not sure but can you help me out Mom?", he said and the woman nodded. "Can you hold off Dad? He will be pissed off if he comes to know I left." Minyoung gave a smirk saying she can handle her husband.
The tall raven head thanking his mother sneaked out through the back. But the sound of the engine got Jaehwan running downstairs. "Where is he leaving now?", the male went to the front door, "We have an important meeting how can he leave now?" he rambled on.
"It's been a while since it's been just the two of us, honey.", Minyoung voiced out and hugged her husband from behind. "I don't think you can beat me in chess, wanna try?", feeling a little degraded he defended himself and agreed to play. Of course, Minyoung knew her husband's competitiveness still existed and it was no surprise that Chanyeol had completely inherited it.
Baekhyun had done some thinking all night, mentally preparing himself. When Chanyeol walked through, his breath got stuck in his throat as his fingers became jittery.
"Hey!"
"Hey, Yeol.", came his reply and the elder smiled as he sat in front of the younger across the table. "You never do morning dates, what's up?", Luhan said approaching the duo. The duo only scratched their heads with awkward smiles.
"Oh, right.", he turned to Baekhyun, "Did you visit the doctor? What did they say?" Baekhyun shook his head and signaled him to be quiet. "Give me a vanilla milkshake, please?", the Chinese man nodded and Chanyeol ordered Iced Americano for himself.
"Well are you sick?", Baekhyun shook his head shrugging off the question. "Listen, I need to tell you something.", the CEO nodded slowly sipping on his Americano that had just arrived at their table.
"I'm pregnant.." Baekhyun sighed out but the other's reaction had shook.
Chanyeol jumped from his seat and hugged the flabbergasted male. "I'm so happy for you! Congratulations Baek!", he cheered. "Who's the father?", he said with a slight pang in his chest. Baekhyun leaned over the table to flick his forehead before sitting back.
He slowly took the larger hands in his and looked at the table as he slowly continued.
"You're the father, Yeol. The only person I've been with.", their eyes met as Chanyeol pulled back his hand. The blood drained from his face as it became pale as paper. A thick silence fell upon them until Chanyeol broke it.
"Well, will I be allowed to your check-ups? I can take care of the baby's needs too. Don't worry about Kyungsoo, I'll convince him somehow. I don't wanna be one of those jerks who would abandon their babies.", promised the raven head and Baekhyun smiled through his tears.
Taking a deep breath, he continued again. "That won't be necessary." Chanyeol raised his brows in confusion, "I don't plan on keeping the baby, I'll need the father's sign for the abortion procedure." the tall raven head stood up in complete shock.
"Why? Why do you want to do that? I said I'll take care of everything, trust me Baek." he said as he knelt by the petite male. "I don't want my baby to be without a father, Yeol. And you're gonna be marrying Kyungsoo soon and I don't wanna be a nuisance.", he choked back a sob yet flashed a small smile.
"Well, it's your body after all." the CEO dejectedly uttered and sat on his seat.
"Thank you for understanding Yeol." but the raven head was not the slightest bit happy about it. He wanted to reason with him further but he knew it would be pointless. "If it's alright, can we get to the hospital right now?" Chanyeol reluctantly nodded and followed Baekhyun out to the car. His lunch appointment with the Do's was long forgotten since his priority was Byun Baekhyun, and him only.
