"Sir, we may have some familiar company.." Park Jinyoung looked over at his bodyguards and tsked, proceeding to make a gesture with his fingers as if it were telling them to show said familiar company.

The two bodyguards nodded and brought in the two men who were fighting back against their grips, but carrying it out poorly as if they were in a cliché kidnapping scene where the victim(s) try to escape the kidnapper.

"Ah, you two have finally decided to come crawling back to me I see..." The two, being none other than Hwang Hyunjin and Kim Seungmin simply turned their heads away from the despised man. One glared from their peripheral vision whilst the other simply looked away in disgust.

"Knew you two wouldn't last long in that.. rebellious gang of yours." Park Jinyoung said, applying an emphasis on the word gang as if to say they weren't a proper one. He wasn't wrong about that though, they weren't really a gang but they were somewhat well-known yet disoriented most of the time.

"It seems to me that you'd prefer to go head to head against a mafia instead of the so-called rebellious gang of ours." Seungmin clapped back, mocking the rather serious self-proclaimed business man's tone and wording. Quite frankly, the younger was seemingly done with seeing his face as one more look at it would probably make him throw up.

"Aww, I see that my puppy finally learned to talk back. You were never my favorite anyways, Kim Seungmin. You were honestly more of a hassle to deal with rather than your fellow accomplice here." Jinyoung said, taunting the younger with a horrible reenactment of the said boy's usual puppy eyes.

Seungmin was not only slightly taken aback by that but was unexpected hurt by it. All this time, he had built up these walls around him to prevent anything from hurting him but somehow, the bastard whose ego was totally over his head managed to make them crumble.

He used to look up to Park Jinyoung. The man treated him like an apprentice during his younger years. For when his parents never gave him any drop of attention nor care, Jinyoung was always seemingly there for him.

He was the one who was there to teach him the hard ways of life and follow him through his hardships. Even before meeting the others, Jinyoung was like a mentor and a second father to him. He took him in when nobody else would and taught him everything he knew today.

And now he had turned against him. It hurt him dearly knowing that even his mentor would no longer be by his side but instead on the opposing side.

Tears. For the first time in a long time ever since childhood, he was finally shedding tears. And it just so happens to be in front of everyone he never wanted to cry in front of.

Jinyoung and Hyunjin.

"For your information, it's boyfriend." Hyunjin finally spat out, giving Jinyoung a look that pierced knives right through his heartless soul as he turned over to comfort Seungmin who shook his head repeatedly in his arms.

The bodyguards didn't dare hold him back from doing so as Jinyoung had already struck them down to where they were at a vulnerable state. One might've even felt the slightest of sympathy.

Jinyoung stayed silent. No words were spoken as the only evident sound that could be heard was the sound of sobs that emitted from Seungmin's relentless quick breathing and sniffling.

"I-I t-trusted you... y-you know...?" Seungmin coughed out, pausing mid-sentence due to his abrupt hiccups which were nonstop. Hyunjin just sat by his side, hugging him ever so tightly yet with the upmost comfort and care a hug could ever provide.

"I-I real-ly did... I-I REALLY WAS A FOOL T-TO HAVE TRUSTED Y-YOU!" Something about the way Seungmin shouted had shocked the man the response was directed towards.

It seemed like everything that had happened once in the past was repeating itself as Jinyoung completely froze up. He was almost even afraid and ashamed to speak. Especially since he had never seen Seungmin so vulnerable before apart from his childhood years.

This was his apprentice he was talking down to about. This was Seungmin, who was the child he raised almost all throughout his life. This was the little boy that looked up to him as if he were to be some god. This was the same boy who followed in his footsteps, hoping throughout all his life that he'd be just like him.

And yet, he followed in the footsteps of not a mentor, not a second parent, not a deserving of one's trust, but instead, a betrayer. A seemingly heartless, ruthless, and relentless betrayer. That's who he had followed in the footsteps of.

The urge for him to fall on his knees whilst struck with realization was eminent by now as the self-proclaimed dying and merciless male was now following through with it.

The tears eventually stopped for Seungmin but only started for Jinyoung who was unable to look at either of them. What had happened in the start with Seungmin and Hyunjin being unable to look at Jinyoung was now repeated. Only, it was now flipped onto Jinyoung. But this time, the older couldn't look at any of them due to the shame that sunk in his veins.

Seungmin looked up in shock. It was all unveiled now. What he had thought of him being a restless and emotionless poor excuse of a person was now gone. The expectations, seemingly blown out of proportions were now gone. No trace of it left.

Was this... a new chapter in their story? Had one of them finally turned the page to reveal the hidden chapter in their fate all along?

Redemption I.

Could this possibly be a new beginning for them bo-
