Author's note: welp author here, I was on spring break so I was kinda spending 5+ hours a day playing genshin and binge watching/reading the whole of mha-, anyways let's proceed with the story

POV: Hange Zoe

As I let go of his hand I apologised and turned my gaze onto the blazing sky. The view was incredible. As I was looking at the beautiful nature around me Levi reach for my hand and grabbed it. My heart skipped a beat. what? My mind was racing and my thoughts tangled together into a knot.

"Yeah... How does it feel..." Levi said. I wanted to look as his expression as he spoke those words but I couldn't bring myself to look at him, incase he caught my glance.

Later that night everyone was already back at the base. We all ate like hungry wolves before going to bed. We'd all seen something incredible that day, something we've never seen before. The way the ocean spread across to the horizon and how it reflected the sun's shimmering light. I made my way to my room to get ready for bed, or that's what I'd told everyone. But in reality I was more than eager to record all my new findings in my notebook and start researching them.

As soon as my hand gripped the door knob I charged into my room and dashed for my desk, rummaging through my drawers for my notebook. When I finally found it in under piles of paper I flipped the pages carelessly until I came across an unused page. I picked up the first pencil I saw and started noting down everything that happened at the sea today.

"The sea was huge and the water was extremely salty. We don't know if the salt is edible yet however I'll run some tests on it. And if it is we can find a way to extract it as salt is quite rare. The water also seemed to run on endlessly. Were there creatures? RIGHT! I found a strange looking rock on the beach, it was a light yellow and had red and orange spots on it. What was it composed of?" The more I wrote about the more questions popped up that needed answers. I was overjoyed to have so much new information to research and understand. We had to go back to the ocean, there might be more interesting creatures under the waters. Perhaps even creatures like titans...

Almost as on queue a knock came at the door. I turned away from my work and went to open the door, noticing I haven't even locked it. On the other side of the door was Levi.

"Oi, four-eyes. I thought I told everyone to rest," he said leaning against the doorframe with an annoyed expression on his face.

"Right-" I answered swiftly, almost as if my voice was on auto-pilot, "I- I mean I'm the commander now so why does it matter?" I replied to him.

"Yeah sure whatever," Levi rolled his eyes but his expression softened a little, I think, "I came because I knew you'd be up doing science stuff and seems I was right." Levi let himself in my room and walked over to where I'd let my notebook on my desk.

"HEY! DON'T LOOK AT THAT! IT'S PRIVATE CONFIDENTIAL INFO!" I yelled, embarrassed and ran over beside him to snatch the notebook. As I reached for the desk his hands swooped the notebook up and he continued reading my messy notes. I tried again and again to snatch the notebook from him but he just turned his back and I couldn't end up getting it so I finally let out a defeated sigh.

"I'm surprised a shorty like you could keep it out of reach," I laughed as I sat on my bed. Levi just glanced at me and back down at the notes.

"So you've got more experiments to do now?" Levi frowned and set the book back down on the desk. Before I could reply I was cut off by his words, "You know you're the commander now. You haven't got the time to mess around anymore. Do your job." I felt as if I'd just been smacked back into reality. It was almost as if a child was told Santa isn't real. I knew it was not his intention to upset me but rather check that I knew what I was doing so I ignored the feeling I'd just felt and nodded.

"Good," he said as he walked back to my door, which was still open, "Don't forget to lock it this time," he added and shut the door leaving me to some peace and quiet. I took note of what he said and locked the door to the room then proceeded to change into some comfier clothes to go to sleep in. I found a grey sweatshirt and some black pants to put on before going to sleep. I lay there for a few minutes with the thoughts of everything that happened today circling my head until eventually I gave out.
