Hermione had woken up after another great sleep. The Dreamless Sleep potions were really working and she had actually gotten some good sleep the night before.
She was glad that Narcissa had only heard good things about her and that she wanted to build a relationship with her sister again. Andromeda needed somebody else in her life. She had lost her whole family in the war, after all.
Those two things had given her enough good thoughts to last a few days. It wasn't much, but it was there.
"How was your lunch with Andromeda?" asked Ginny as the two were getting ready for the day.
"It was really good." replied Hermione.
"Did anything happen. Does she have any exciting news?" asked Ginny
"Narcissa and Draco were there. Andromeda and Narcissa are going to work to build their relationship again. Teddy is also fond of Draco" replied Hermione
She smiled to herself as she remembered everything that had happened the day before. If she could go through that day one-hundred times she would.
Ginny scoffed and put on her red and gold tie. "She shouldn't be talking with them. Not after the side they chose in the war."
Hermione rolled her eyes. She was expecting this response from Ginny. "You know, if it weren't for Narcissa, Harry would be dead and Voldemort would have won."
The red-head flinched at the name, but didn't say anything. Ginny knew that Hermione was right.
Ginny had a right to not like the Malfoy's. The Malfoy's and Weasley's had a long history of disagreements and they had very different views, but she shouldn't say anything about Andromeda.
"We should get down to the Great Hall if we want to eat breakfast before class." said Hermione
Ginny nodded and the two walked out of the room. There were few words spoken between the two girls as they walked down the stairs and through the corridors to the Great Hall.
The Gryffindor table seemed smaller than it usually was. Ginny didn't seem to notice anything.
"Ginny, why does something feel off?" asked Hermione
Ginny turned to her friend and smiled. "Dean Thomas and Katie Bell returned today. They were in St. Mungo's for longer because of their injuries."
That made more sense. It seems that everybody knew about this already. Hermione guessed that she was most likely zoned out when they were informed that they were returning.
The two walked to the table and sat down with all their friends. Katie was showing off a scar she had gotten from an unknown curse. It left a nasty scar but Katie was really proud of it.
She said it 'showed what she had been through.' Hermione loved the thought that went into it, but if she were Katie she would want to forget about the war completely.
Hermione looked across the hall at the Slytherin table to get her mind of the large scar currently on show.
The blonde-boy that she had, for some reason, grown fond of, sat at the table with Theo, Blaise and Pansy.
Hermione smiled and got up. Her first class would start soon and she wanted to get there before the hallways filled up.
It seemed Draco had the same idea. She turned around after a few minutes of walking and saw him turning down the same corridor as her.
