Draco couldn't be more happy when he received a letter back from his mother. It had taken a few days, and in those days he was worried his mother was ignoring him, but he finally got her letter. He waited until after classes to read it in the privacy of his dorm room.

He opened the envelope and pulled out the long piece of parchment.

Dear Draco,

As much as I would love to tell Andromeda about this, I respect your wishes and I will not tell anybody. Hermione will tell Andromeda if she wants to, but until then it's only me that knows.

I'm so happy that you finally made a move! I saw the way you were looking at her when she was at the Manor and I knew there was something between the two of you. If she kissed back that's a very good thing. Girls don't kiss people back just because they want to. I noticed the way she looked at you a few times when you were here and if I'm seeing things right then I believe she had feelings for you as well.

I don't think she snogged you just for somebody to snog and if she were to regret it I'm sure she would have told you. If she hasn't talked to you since it happened then maybe you should be the one to talk to her first. She might be embarrassed or afraid that you don't feel anything for her. She's a famous witch and she's probably upset that you didn't talk to her after. She would think you used her. Have you ever stopped to wonder if she's as confused as you are?

If you got butterflies while looking at her, that probably means that you like her. If she blushed at you that might mean something too.

You are both so young and have your whole lives ahead of you, but if you don't talk with her somebody else might take that chance away from you. Like I said before, she's famous and a lot of wizards would love to be with her. Unfortunately that includes some older ones. If you really do like her, you have to go after her. Take her out on a nice date instead of however you approached things.

Now, since I'm the best mother ever, I'm going to explain the best way you should do this. Hermione Granger is known for embracing her muggle heritage. She's not one who will like all the riches in the world and a fancy pureblood date. Buy her flowers instead of something expensive. She seems like one who would even enjoy a picnic.

Now stop stalling and ask her on a proper date.

Love, your mother

P.S, I'm so happy right now! I knew it! I even encouraged it!

Draco smiled at the letter and folded it neatly just like how it had come in the envelope. The letter had confirmed that his mother was very happy about what had happened and he now knew what he needed to do. He didn't know how he was going to do it though.

He wanted to talk to her, but he wasn't sure how to approach her. Had she thought that he had only wanted to snog her? Draco wasn't sure how the mind of a woman worked. They were very unpredictable and the only experience he had with them was sex. He had never had a relationship before.

He raced out of his dorm and went to the common room. Pansy was sitting on Blaise's lap while he was playing with her hair.

"Sorry to bother your disgusting show of emotion in the common room, but I need to borrow your girl for a minute." said Draco

"And might I ask why?" asked Blaise

"None of your business, Blaise." replied Draco

Pansy hopped off of Blaise's lap and walked over to Draco. "What do you need?"
