Hermione skipped through the common room and up to her dorm room. She opened the door and screamed before closing it again. She wanted somebody to Obliviate what she had to witness from her mind. She would never be able to look at her friends the same.
Ginny opened the door a few seconds later in a robe. It was hard for Hermione to look her friend in the eyes, so she paid attention to the blush covering her face.
"Obliviate me, please." Hermione said
Harry walked out of the bedroom fully dressed and kissed his girlfriend on the cheek. Hermione avoided her best friend's eyes and looked at the ground.
"There are no tears." he told Ginny, "I told you that everything with her parents would go well."
"I almost forgot about that." Ginny replied, "Um, I'll see you tomorrow, Harry. Come on Hermione, you have to tell me all about your day."
Hermione followed Ginny back into the room without glancing at either of her friends. She wouldn't be able to look Harry in the eyes for at least a week. Ginny would be easier because she hadn't been close to the girl for as long.
Hermione sat on Ginny's bed and her friend sat across from her after changing into some proper clothes.
"So, how was the date?" Ginny asked
"Oh it was amazing Ginny!" Hermione replied, "He took me to muggle London and got us into a very fancy restaurant. We had the perfect view of the Eiffel Tower!"
"So he's rich. Oh 'Mione, you have to tell me everything." said Ginny
"I don't like him because he has money." Hermione replied quickly. She didn't want her friend to believe that she liked somebody for their money. She knew some people liked people for money, but she couldn't ever see herself feeling like that.
"Ok fine, continue on." said Ginny
"Well we took a Portkey there because it was international travel. Let's just say that I don't ever want to Portkey again." Hermione began. "Anyways, we walked down the street, and let me tell you, it was bloody gorgeous."
"I bet it was. Mother said she wanted to visit muggle Paris someday because it looks beautiful, but we've never gone." replied Ginny
"The people there were dressed all fancy. The buildings looked at least fifty years old, but they were still so beautiful. They all had fancy French names that I didn't understand, but they sound so romantic." said Hermione
"I bet everything there was romantic. We're talking about Paris after all." Ginny replied "Now tell me how the date went."
"Well the servers only spoke French, and to my surprise, my date spoke perfect French! I will admit that it sounded really hot even though I didn't understand anything he was saying." Hermione said
"How were you able to read the menu? Ginny asked, "I'm assuming it was all in French."
Hermione nodded, "It was all in French, but this is where it starts to get good. He helped me pick something out by reading some meals he thought I would enjoy in French before translating it into English."
"I like whoever this person is. I wouldn't mind somebody talking to me in French." Ginny replied. She winked at Hermione.
If only you knew who he was. You probably wouldn't like him much then she thought.
"Yes, well, We talked until our food was ready. It was a simple conversation. He asked if I was nervous about my parents and-"
"You told him about your parents!?" Ginny asked, "Only a few people know about that. He must be really special for you to tell him so quickly." Hermione put her hands on her hips, a bit upset that she was interrupted so rudely. Ginny noticed and shut her mouth with a smile.
