"Come here Buck." Steve saw the man looking to be extra sad today so he pulled him in for a hug just to hold him tightly.

"I miss him Stevie." Bucky whined.

"I know Buck... me too." Steve sniffled. "Me too." He sighed as he hid in his shoulder. Bucky cried softly in his neck as he held him tightly and couldn't close his eyes because he just saw the body of the billionaire there every time he did. "Look at me Buck, look at me." Steve moved away from the brunette just to hold his face as he made the man look at him. "Think of all the times he made you happy and laugh and smile. Don't think of him being gone, think of when he was here with us." He urged him to do so. "Like how he laughed whenever we argued." He laughed lightly when he got the man to scoff. "Or for him liking your metal arm." He took it then pressed it against his heart while the brunette smiled softly. "Or like how he always jumped on us whenever we got back from a mission with the others." He smiled when the soldier laughed lightly at that. "Or when he giggled from the pet names we gave him." He carried on because he knew it was working, he was seeing the man smile and that was all he needed to continue talking about the billionaire because he hasn't seen the soldier genuinely smile in a long time. "Or his absurd workout routine with us that one time." He rolled his fondly at the memory of the billionaire claiming to be done with working out for the next 15 years even though he barely lifted up the bench-press.

"That wasn't a workout Stevie, that was him being crushed by the bar." Bucky smirked and the blonde laughed at that.

"Yeah, that's true." Steve nodded along in agreement. "Or how badly he would blush whenever you fawned over his ass." He smirked while the soldier laughed at that, a genuine laugh that it made the blonde smile softly at him.

"Yeah, he hated that." Bucky laughed but it had calmed down slightly by now.

"Whenever you get sad, just think of the man wearing the lace panties." Steve hummed as he think he just figured out the solution.

"Stevie, that's not gonna-wow... it worked." Bucky stopped himself just to hum when it actually did end up working out for him because he was genuinely pleased right now.

"Imma genius." Steve stated proudly.

"If that's what ya wanna call it, sure." Bucky shrugged then just hugged the blonde. "Ya think he would hate us?" He mumbled in his neck.

Steve sucked in a breath as he didn't know how to answer that without his heartbeat giving away his actual answer to the man so he ignored it and hugged the brunette tightly.

"Just... remember his smile." Steve spoke up after a while of them just hugging.

Bucky nodded his head softly then hugged the blonde tighter as he thought about the billionaire and it was just painful.

It was around 5 years until someone at SHIELD called and ordered the Avengers, along with the CEO and the Lieutenant Colonel, to come down and see something.

"I'm erasing you from my contact list." Pepper said flatly to the Director as she gave him an unamused look.

"That anyway to talk to the Director Pep?" They all heard the person's voice which made them all gape and gasp at the recognizable teasing voice they could place in a heartbeat... and they did!

"What?" Pepper whispered in disbelief at that voice.

"Come on Pep... be nice."

Suddenly, they saw someone walk out behind the Director and Agent Coulson and none of them could believe it - Tony Stark was back, walking and talking and just existing, right here before them.
