When Lyra woke, light was streaming through the crimson curtains. She sighed and sat up rubbing sleep from her eyes. Next to her pillow she saw a note with Hermiones long cursive writing.

Ly,
We've gone down to breakfast, Ron and I tried to wake you but Harry nearly tore our heads off. I'll save you some toast.
Love,
Hermione

Lyra was thankful they hadn't been able to wake her, this was her first night of dreamless sleep since she had arrived back at the castle.

She got up feeling energized and changed to go down to the great hall.

Lyra was met by Fred and George rushing out of the hall, followed by their best friend, Lee Jourdan. She had to do a double take when she noticed the long white beards on their chins. Lyra opened her mouth to ask, then just continued into the hall.

The next person she saw was Professor Dumbledore.

"Goodmorning, Miss Malfoy," Dumbledore said with a twinkle in his eye, "Slept well I trust?"

"Yes," Lyra responded, "Very well professor." She gave the man a quizzical look, he just smiled.

Lyra made her way over to the benches that had been arranged bleacher style on each side of the hall around the center. Student after student went by, dropping their names into the Goblet of Fire.

Lyra was sat below Harry and next to Hermione. She looked at them expectantly and they began to explain how Fred and George had taken an aging potion to get their names in, and how they were shot back out again. By the end of the story, Lyra was choking on her toast trying to hold back laughter.

The group continued to watch students enter their names, occasionally clapping or booing when necessary.

Lyra's arms were resting on Harry's knees as she leaned back to whisper about one of the Ravenclaw boys that was entering his name in the goblet. Lyra didn't notice how red Harry's face had become when he had gotten even remotely close to him; why would she? They were best friends.

A few hours later they were sitting in Hagrids cabin listening to Hermione try to persuade him to join S.P.E.W. Hagrid had refused, claiming that working to set house elves free would be doing them a disservice. Harry, Ron and Lyra sat silently, petting fang and praying Hagrid would make Hermione see sense.

When Lyra nearly broke her tooth on a rock cake, they all decided they would walk up to the feast together, but for some reason, Hagrid was off faster than any of them could say quidditch.
