The golden four sat at the Gryffindor table deep in discussion.

"Have you really never seen those before now?"  Lyra said to Harry, stealing a fry off his plate. They were talking about the strange horse like creatures that pulled the carriages.

"No!" He said.

"I don't know what you two are on about." Hermione said, "Ron and I didn't see a thing and nothing in Hogwarts, A History, says anything about the carriages having anything pulling them."

"We're not mad." Lyra responded, "Maybe you're the mad ones!"

"Says the girl who jumped out of my bedroom window cause she thought she could fly!" Ron said laughing, stuffing his face with kidney pie.

"I was eight!" Lyra said angrily, to be fair, Fred and George were very good at manipulating people, even at the age of twelve.

As soon as the dinner was swapped for desert Lyra scooped up a cinnamon bun, which was a new addition to the Hogwarts menu.

All throughout desert Lyra just relished in the feeling of being back at the place that made her the happiest.

She talked to her friends, caught up with classmates that she hadn't seen over the summer and just genuinely enjoyed herself.

At one point, Draco came over to sit at their table, for a bit. He had missed being around his sister and she had missed him. They vowed to make it a point to hang out more this year, because they wouldn't have their Summers together.

Draco was talking with Ginny while Lyra was talking to Fred and George about their new skiving snack boxes.

"The more they see me around you lot, the more they hate me." Draco said to the group in general, gesturing bavk at the Slytherin table. Blaise Zabini was staring right at them, glaring, until he made eye contact with Lyra, then he smirked and winked.

"Disgusting." Lyra said, scowling and turning back to her brother. "Who are you friends with in your house?" She asked.

"We'll now that I've grown up I've ditched Crab and Goyle, they're having a better time with Zabini anyway. I've been hanging around Theodore Nott. His dads a death eater, but Theo isn't half bad. He's quite nice actually. Derek Greengrass isn't too bad either."

"Good." Lyra said, happy that her brother had some people to stick by, "cause you're gonna need someone to cry with when we win the house cup again."

"That's my que." He said, saying goodbye to Ginny and heading back to his table, where he sat between Derek and Theo.

"So...." Lyra said slyly, sliding into Draco's vacant seat next to Ginny, "What are your intentions with my brother?" she smiled.

"We're friends, Ly, I thought you wanted us to talk to Draco more."
