"Alexis come on your dad is waiting for us"  I yelled upstairs. Right now we're on our way to pick Ox up from the airport. After several conversations we finally came to an agreement about him moving here to work for me and the girls. Lord I hope this goes well.

"I'm coming!!" Alexis yelled running down the stairs.

"Put Marshmallow back in his cage." A couple  weeks ago Alexis begged us for a pet so Beyoncé came up with the bright idea of getting her a rabbit. The kids love it but it creeps me out. I heard Alex stomp back up the stairs while I helped Josiah put on his jacket.

"I'm eddy!!" Josiah exclaimed clapping his hands. Beyoncé lifted him in the air blowing raspberries on his stomach.

"Alright marshmallow is put up. Can we go now?!" Alexis has been nagging my ear off all week about her father coming home and how she can't wait to see him. I was feeling the complete opposite. I was nervous about seeing Ox and having him around. But I'll do anything for my baby. I just hope my plan doesn't back fire.

"Say bye bye to mommy" I smiled while taking Josiah into my arms.

"Bye bye mommy." Josiah waved

"Bye handsome." Beyoncé waved from the counter.

"I'll be back babe. Text me if you need anything." I kissed Beyoncé's lips before taking the kids out to the car.

"Why you sitting in the back? Do I smell?" Usually Alex always wants to sit up front so she can have the aux cord and play shit that nobody likes.

"No. I just want to sit by my baby" she smiled tickling Josiah's cheeks. During the car ride to the airport him and Alexis were watching and recreating TikTok's. Those two are so cute. I made a quick detour to Starbucks then headed to the airport.

"Wanna stand by the terminal and wait for your dad?" I asked Alexis as I parked the car.

"Can you wait with me?" She questioned with big eyes. I know she was just as nervous about her dad coming home and how we were all going to co-parent but Beyoncé and I ensured her that she would have a say so in whatever decisions are made regarding who gets her on weekends, holidays, and etc.

"Sure sweetheart" I unbuckled Josiah from his car seat and walked with Alexis to the terminal. I tried smoothing over Alexis's stray hairs with my free hand and she shoo'd me away. The nerve.

"Mom!!" She said annoyed swatting my hand away.

"Mom." Josiah mocked

"Stop embarrassing my daughter." A muscular voice called out from behind us.

"Daddy!!!!" Alexis ran into the arms of her father and of course he lifted her into the air to spin her around. I haven't seen a smile that big since her birthday.

"Hey baby girl." He kissed her forehead placing her back on the ground to look her over noticing how much she's changed in the months that he's been away.

"Hello Ox." I gave a small smile.

"Hey cookie." He smiled giving me a side hug.

"Why do you call mom cookie?" Alexis asked as we walked back to the car.

"Because ummm I'll tell you when you're older." He stuttered.

"Cookie?" Josiah asked patting my arm.

"Not now juju." I said causing him to pout and cross his arms. This boy has too much attitude.

"Is this Joshua?" Ox asked referring to Josiah.

"I Josiah." He answered patting his chest. Mhm don't play with my baby.
