CHAPTER-12

DOC DAD:  Sorry for bringing up the past-

MISTY:  You don’t need to be sorry for that. I was just born BEING unlucky. It’s written in my fate. And It’s not like we can change the fate.

DOC DAD:  Don’t worry. You know there’s a saying “After every storm there is rainbow”. You just have to wait.

MISTY:  There is something I am very curious about-With what intention did you decide to help me and let me stay in such a nice place.

DOC DAD:  Why? You don’t like it here?

 MISTY:  No it’s not that. I never thought I'd escape from my mom eyes but somehow I did and that is helping me a lot.

DOC DAD:  Well- one day I just happen to overheard the nurses talking about your mom. And Henry also told me about the thing which you requested. So, caring my son patient is also my duty so, I just decided to help you out.

MISTY:  What did the nurse say?

DOC DAD:  Sorry-I am old and my memories are blurry.

MISTY: “Why is she so selfish? She don’t even care about her sick daughter/ All she does is wear tons of makeup and enter the doctor chamber every now and then just to seduce him.” I guess this was what the nurses are talking about right *smile*

DOC DAD:  How comes?

MISTY:  The nurses thought I am still not in my right mind so,they used to talk about her even when they come to my room *smiles*

DOC DAD:  I really need to tell my son to teach the nurses a lesson. What kind of nurses gossips in front of the patients.

MISTY:  They are only speaking the truth. I don’t mind them. Your action is what defines you. Since, I am born to her. People might have thought I am no different from her. But that’s wrong. And I hope you understand me when I asked Dr Henry to fake my medical report.

DOC DAD:  you don’t need to worry about that. Think About your health first. Okay It’s late I am leaving. See you next time.

The father left.
On his way he was talking to himself.

I never knew this kid would be this  soft. She is far different from her mother. I hope she comes back stronger.

ANNA POV:

“I am Home Nana”,

MMOM: Come here-

ANNA:  Let me go and change first  Nana.

MMOM:  Don’t NANA me and bring your lazy ass here right now.*scream*

ANNA: (panick)  What’s wrong?

MMOM: what do you mean by what’s wrong? Do you think that I won’t fing out what you were doing behind my back?

ANNA: Nothing- (gulps down)

MMOM:  What were you doing in my room when I went to washroom? I saw you fingerprint in my phone? Tell me the truth (slaps her)

ANNA:  NANA-

MMOM:  Don’t even call me Nana if you are not going to obey what I am saying?

ANNA:  I was worried about Mom since I haven’t seen her for many days. So, I just wanted to talk to her so I sneak in but I did nothing.

MMOM:  You betrayer- just like your father. (slaps her again) Do you think your mom will be proud after knowing what you did? Your mom doesn’t even care about you. You are such a pain in the ass. I should have let Misty abort you…..
(driver enters)

DRIVER: *hiding Anna behind him* Ma’am you are getting out of line. She’s a still a kid and its normal for a kid to miss her mom. You should watch what you say in front of kids.

MMOM:  How dare you butt in our matter? Who are you to give me a lecture? You are just a driver. You know nothing. Consider yourself lucky because you got to sleep with full stomach all thanks to me.  (throws a glass and accidently hit Anna)

DRIVER: Are you okay dear? Come let me take you to hospital? Let’s go and treat the wound first.

MMOM:  If she can’t bear this small wound how is she supposed to survive in this harsh world? MAID MAID *shouts* Lock her inside her room. Don’t let her go anywhere and seize her phone. This good for nothing kid.

DRIVER:  Ma’am-

MMOM:  And you don’t ever show up again- LEAVE RIGHT NOW.

Anna was drag to her room with blood flowing like a river from the wound the glass has caused. The maid too felt pity for her but what can they do as they are earning their daily wages. Anna wept bitterly the whole night thinking about what the grandma has said to her. She stares at the parent picture weeping. She refused to eat and drink for the next few days- Her hand felt numb- she can’t feel anything anymore. She just lay on her bed the entire day. Since Anna refused to eat that day she was given dinner so, the grandma warned the maid not to give her food for the following days that Anna will learn her lesson. No sound can be heard in that big house,the grandma left for work and the maids are sent home. The grandma probably wants to kill Anna at this rate. Even though she bangs the door asking for help, All she can hear is the echo of her own voice.
 Her friends tried contacting her but she can’t be reach as there is no means of communications. Drew tried ringing her up several times but her phone was off. Even though her friends wanted to visit her they don’t know where Anna exactly lives as she has never disclosed her place or address. They were so worried.

Anna with swollen eyes wept bitterly thinking what if she breath her last without seeing her mom for the last time.

- I am okay with leaving this world but it’d be so nice to hear my mom calling me “my sweet daughter Anna”-

Suddenly she heard sound from outside but the sound doesn’t come out from the main gate but from the walls. She was very scared but given her weak body she can’t move anywhere. With tears in her eyes she thought “The time has finally come”- 
-close her eyes-

“ANN Wake up- Can you hear me”
