CHAPTER-13

ANNA:  What are you doing here?  *weak voice*

MAX: What theeeee- Stay here don’t move I will back –

ANNA:  (Holding Max hand) don’t leave me alone- I am scared.

MAX:  Don’t worry. Nothing will happen. Okay Trust me I am never leaving you behind. (kissing her forehead)

Max got down from the wall. After few minutes he came back with some medicines-tissues all the necessities.

MAX:  Here sit down- let me help you clean up the wound.

ANNA: *tears running down her cheeks-holding Max hand*

MAX:  Why are you crying *wiping her tears* See I am here now. You’re gonna be fine.

Max bought some meds from pharmacy and take-out foods. He cleaned Anna wound, feed her, Wipes her face with wet tissue- tied her hair.

MAX:  Here are your clothes- Why are you still in this uniform? I’ll turn around you can change.

ANNA: *pulls him and gives him the shirt*

MAX:  You want me to change you? Isn’t it appropriate-(anna suddenly hugs him*

ANNA: Can we stay like this for a moment? I have never felt the warm hug for ages. I thought I was going to die like this.

MAX: No way that’s going to happen.

ANNA:  why aren’t you asking me anything max?

MAX:  I know you are not ready yet. Everyone is so worried about you.

ANNA:  Did you let Drew know? By the way how did you know my place and how did you enter my room?

MAX:  Well- I know nothing about you so, I decided to tail you one day and that’s how I come to know where you live. You never attend the class so, out of curiosity I came back here. Your house lights are all off except this room I somehow figured out this must be your room so, here you are. Don’t asked me how I climb the wall.

ANNA:  Max you better leave before its too late. My grandma will be here any minute.

MAX:  No she won’t come back here for another week.

ANNA:  How can you be so sure?

MAX:  The other day I was hiding behind the bush and overheard her talking on the phone saying She will be out of town for another week and told the maids not to come back until she notices them to come back.

ANNA: OHH-

MAX:  Here, get some sleep- You must be tired. I will leave after you fall asleep.
ANNA:  Does Drew know that you are here?

MAX:  No one knows except me.

ANNA:  Thank you. Max Please keep this to you. I don’t want to trouble anyone with my family issues. I will talk to my grandma when she’s back. And resume classes.

MAX:  But- He will be too worried.

ANNA:  Please- hm.

MAX:  Okay fine. Here i bought some more snacks. Keep it here you can have it when you are hungry. I will come back tomorrow. Go to sleep.

Anna was relieved knowing someone still worries about her. With the company of Max she felt asleep. Max jump out of the window again even though he hurt his knees. He smiled to himself saying it’s worth it if he only gets to see Anna every day.
