CHAPTER-5

ANNA: Is this mom and Dad?

It’s a picture of Misty and her husband which they took on their first date.

ANNA: Why is Dad face like that while mommyis so happy? Mommy look so beautiful- And daddy too is very handsome. Oh my Iam so in love with mommy and daddy. I will keep this picture for myself as nanawill never let me know about dad.

She then took the postcard happily and went inside the room. She was so happy that night that she never blink an eye but keeps on staring at the picture of her parents with tears in her eyes wishing that if both the parents were still there now. She then, felt asleep-

“Anna-Anna Wake up, Wake up”

ANNA: (Wait- I still want to ride waitttttt) ‘wakes up’

MMOM: What were you dreaming about? What did you ride that you didn’t want to get off-

ANNA:  I was going to an amusement park with—(before completing) It’s nothing- it’s indeed a weird dream (smiles)

MMOM:  Okay Go wash up you are late for school- I’ll let the chef prepare your breakfast and Tiffin.
(heads out)

ANNA:  It was a beautiful dream. Sitting on dad's shoulder With Mommy walking in hand with Dad. Why do I feel like this has happen already sometimes ago- it’s like a déjà. Never mind I’ll go and wash up.

It’s a good day to start with. (staring  at thepostcard of her parents) Mom Dad I am going school okay- I will be taking you guys everywhere so, that you’ll know whom I hang around with how well I excel in all the subjects. How smart your daughter is okay.!

The Driver then drove her to school. When she got off drew was there at the school gate waiting for Ann. And let her know the good news of his aunt treating them.

ANNA:  What really? When is aunt coming then?-

DREW:  I didn’t asked her that. But My aunty never breaks her promise.

ANNA:  It must be so nice to have so many uncles and aunties. On top of that both grandma and grandpa. Drew You are living the life of every broken child wished.

DREW:  Don’t say that. You also have your grandma-

 ANNA:  My grandma is different from yours but I am used to her behaviour. If you are to stay at our place for a day- you’d cry your eyes out. Hahaha

DREW:  I guess she’s no good then. Hahahha It is okay. You are like a family to me. All my uncles’ aunt mom dad knows you. And we have been friends since decades.

ANNA:  Thanks for that.

They both enter the school and so the class started- drew earnestly look outside,checking whether her aunt came or not. He was too excited wanting to introduce Ann to his aunty. But sadly she didn’t come that day. He was so sad as she have already told Anna. Unluckily that day Drew driver didn’t come to pick him up. So, Anna decided to drop him-

ANNA: Uncle will it be okay if we drop him on our way? Will Nana be angry?

 DRIVER:  Uncle can keep it a secret- (smiles)

 ANNA:  Thank you so much (gets down)

DREW: I thought you already left- What’s wrong?

ANNA:  From what I see I think you will be late and see all the students have left and it’s already late. Come we’ll drop you.

DREW:  Really? There won’t be any problem right (referring to her grandma)
