It's a few hours later and Monica has just been taken out of surgery. She is in the ICU and is unconscious. 51 and the intelligence team have heard nothing. Antonio is still blaming himself for this. Just then Dr.Halstead walks out.
"She started bleeding internally again but we managed to control it. She is still really ill but where trying to look on the positive side" Dr.Halstead says
"Okay can we see her?" Gabby asks
"Only for a little while she needs her rest" Dr.Halstead says
Gabby and Antonio make there way in and Monica smiles weakly.
"Monica!" Gabby says holding her hand
"You have us quite the scare back there sis!" Antonio says rubbing her arm
"It's all a part of the job" Monica says weakly
"You rest! There's no need to speak!" Gabby says
"You guys don't need to worry about me!" Monica says weakly
Gabby and Antonio stay for a while and then leave the room. Monica is sleeping.
It's 2 days later and Voight has came to visit her
"Hey! How you feeling!" Voight asks
"Like I've been hit by a ton of bricks but other than that I'm good" Monica says
"You have been through 2 major surgery's" Voight says sitting down
"This never happened in New York and I can assure you that this will be the only time that it happens here" Monica says
"Hey you don't need to worry about that! We all get injured in the job some worse than others" Voight says as Adam and Kevin walk in
"Hey!" Adam says
"We brought chocolates and flowers!" Kevin says putting the flowers on her bedside table
"Well aren't you two such gentlemen!" Monica says trying to laugh but it hurts too much
"There saying that I'm getting out of here next week!" Monica says
"But your not coming back to my team until your fully healed!" Voight says
"Just give me some cases, I can crack them from home and you guys can go and get them" Monica suggests
"I don't think so!" Voight says laughing
"Oh wow! You've got the big man laughing! That's a first!" Kevin says
"I'm sure he's just a big softie!" Monica says
"I'll let you off with that one because your ill!" Voight says

I'm so sorry that I haven't uploaded loads of chapters today for this book and new blood, one family. As it's my birthday today and I have taken a little break but I'll be back tomorrow as normal!
