August...
"It's already August which means school's about to hit again," Avery writes on his journal.
"Celebrating the 4th of July with the Vale family was the best part to happen during summer. I guess," Avery added to notes.
"And it's been two months since Aunt Charlotte and I got into that car crash," Avery writes.
"But every time I see my legs I feel like I'm reliving the accident," Avery sniffs.
A knock on Avery's door interrupts him.
"Come in!" Avery exclaims.
"Avery," Cassie comes in with Jack.
"Oh. Hey, guys. Didn't realize you've come back from New York already," Avery smiles as he closes his journal.
"Yeah. Again we were busy. Sorry," Cassie looks at Avery.
"Nah. It's okay," Avery waves his hand.
"Avery. I heard what happened to you at the cemetery. I'm really sorry about Teddy. I'll talk to him as soon as possible," Jack says.
"You know what? It's fine," Avery suddenly says.
""Fine"? He almost killed you," Cassie exclaims.
"Now you're sounding like my father, Cass!" Avery cries out.
"What was I suppose to do? Huh? I can't run! I can't even walk properly! Okay?" Avery slams his crutches to the ground.
"What has gotten into you?" Cassie disappointingly said as she and Jack leave Avery's room.
"Oh no. Here we go again," Louis says to Adalene as they hear Avery's cries from the living room.
"Um...madame et monsieur. I'm really sorry about Avery. He's just been so depressed for the past few weeks. Forgive him," Louis catches up on Cassie and Jack.
"My only hope is that he'll get better before summer ends," Cassie replies as they depart.
"What will we do about him, sis?" Louis asks.
"I don't know. You're the funny guy here. Think of some jokes," Adalene says.
"Seriously. Just because you're twelve minutes older than me that doesn't give you the right to boss me around," Louis reminds his sister.
"Ugh. Whateves," Adalene heads to Avery's room.
"Wait," Louis runs up the stairs.
"Avery. We seriously need to talk about your mental health," Adalene confronts Avery.
"Please. Just leave me alone," Avery frowns.
"Told you. It won't work," Louis whispers to his sister.
"Shut up," Adalene mutters.
"Ave. Please," Adalene sighs.
"For one last time. Leave. Me. Alone," Avery replies.
"Your choice," Adalene leaves Avery.
"Your plan failed. And what are we going to do?" Louis panics.
"Chill, man," Adalene pats her brother.
"Our parents and the Yaleman parents left us in charge of this house and to help Avery. They're counting on us," Louis said.
"I know. I'm thinking of a solution. Shush," Adalene closes her eyes.
"Maybe. You don't need to think about a solution. Maybe all we need to do is talk to him," Louis thought.
