Someone hurt Bella Campbell

She passes me the phone and I can see the tears welling up in her eyes. I hang up with my mom and wipe a tear from her face. "So your dad hit you?" "Uh yeah this is the first time he usually hits my mom. My mom usually tells me to go upstairs and I sneak out the window and dance. After she gets beat up." She stops and she looks ashamed of herself but she continues. "After that she goes out with your mom and then stays the night. I'm guessing your asleep. He's usually not home but when he is thats been whats happening.This time my mom wasn't there to protect me though.She was out with your mom. My dad noticed I wasn't there and texted me that's why I had to leave. I probably could've left through the window without a scratch if I hadn't talked to him like that." Pause why did I just overshare like that. "How long?" I ask her and her face looks confused but then she understands. "Since my grandma died so about a year." "And you just sleep in the studio", I ask her. "Nope. I dance I couldn't sleep knowing I stood there and hid like a coward while my mom was getting beat. The anger keeps me awake.So I said what I needed to say and he didn't like that so he slapped me and threw his bottle at me. Which explains the cuts." "This time how will you dance through it your hurt." "It doesn't matter that I'm hurt I'm still gonna dance. Besides it doesn't hurt that bad and I could use work on my jumps." I can't let her dance I won't but I know she won't let me help her so I figure out a plan. "I don't have what I need to help you fully here. Come on follow me." I grab my stuff and put her in my car. "Where are we going", she asks. I don't answer which I think bugs here but I knew she wouldn't like it. "We're here", I say as I help her out of the car. "Your house?" "I'm not letting you dance all night injured and I'm not letting you go back home. So you'll sleep in my room and I'll sleep on the couch." "But Cameron I'm fine." "Please Bella If not for you then for me or for your mom." "Ok fine but I really am ok." "Yeah sure you are. Come on let's go." I walk her inside and let my mom know she's staying with us tonight. My dads on a business trip so it's just me and my mom right now. "Is she ok", my mom asks. "I'm fine it's nothing. Really." "Are you sure",Mrs.Campbell asks. "Yes mom really I'm fine. Thank you for letting me stay Mrs.Parks", she says. "Oh it's no problem dear your welcome anytime", my mom replies. "Ok come on Bella  let's get you to bed." "Ok",she says as she waves goodnight to her mother and my mom. I get her all set up and walk out. "Hey wait",she stops me. "What is it", I say worried. "Thank you for helping me I'm really sorry you have to deal with me." I smile and say goodnight. I went to bed and maybe a few hours passed and in those hours I couldn't stop thinking about what happened today. I kissed Bella Campbell and I liked it. I wanted to kiss her again. I don't know why I got up but I did. I don't know why my feet stopped at where Bella is sleeping,and I don't know why I didn't turn around. I was just about to knock on the door when she opened it. At first we just stared at each other but I couldn't take it. I pulled her in by the waist and kissed her. She pulls me by my shirt into my room and I close the door behind me.I hear a creek and pull away.She sits down on the bed and sits up. She pat's the bed to sit. I guess she saw the confusion on my face because she told me to trust her. I sit at the edge of the bed right when the door opens. "Hey is everything ok", my mom asks. Bella says almost immediately, "yeah um I tend to cry in my sleep. Jayden heard me and came in to check if I was ok." "Well are you ok", my mom asks her. "Oh yeah I uh I get dreams of my mom getting hit so I don't usually go to sleep for that long anymore. Every time I close my eyes I see it but as long as my moms ok I'll be fine." "Ok sweetheart good night come on Cameron." "One second mom." "Ok honey." She closes the door. "Was that true Bella?" "Uh yeah that's why it's so easy to dance all night.But most of the time I end up falling asleep because my body can't take the burnout. Sorry I don't know why I keep telling you all this I really am ok next time please tell me to shut up I can't keep exposing myself like this." She looks really tired and she keeps blinking like she's trying to stay awake. "Ok just try to close your eyes and think about something else and know that I'm right here."  She closes her eyes and she looks like she's struggling to think of something else. "So did it work." She doesn't answer. "Bella." She's asleep I smile and get up but she grabs my hand. "Stay.",she says and I hesitate, "please."
