"How much longer do I have to stay here?" I groaned. My security guard, who's name was Ethan, was inside my hotel room, watching Andrew and I as I lofted away in bed. Since I had no one to talk to he usually came in so we could speak which I was grateful for. We had become friends over the weeks.
"You whine every time I could in here," Ethan noted.
"My son and I have been here for three weeks and I haven't been allowed to have a single visitor and you are keeping all my mail. We are both bored," I complained. "It's agonizing. I'm safe, okay? So when can I go out or have friends over or write letters? Three weeks and no one has tried to kill me. Are we done yet?"
"You ask so many questions!" He exclaimed, flinging his head back in an over dramatic effort to convey his annoyance.
"Well, then answer them! When is Dumbledore coming? When is the questioning happening?" I asked. "I'm not stopping until I get some answers!"
"Why do I have to get the one person who never shuts up?" Ethan whined. "You can't go out because Sirius could be waiting for you. No friends because that defeats the whole arrest purpose. If all goes well you can reply to the letters and finally, the trial is happening today at 3 pm. Now, would you please shut up?"
"Feeling the love, Ethan," I huffed.
"I don't know how that boyfriend of yours puts up with you," He contradicted.
I smirked at him before stating, "You complain about me not shutting up though you visit me everyday."
Ethan smiled at that and slowly agreed. He looked at his watch before walking towards my closet. He began to rummage through it as I asked, "What are you doing?"
"Do you have any dresses in here?" He asked, before finding some. "Never mind."
He pulled out his wand and now I watched him keenly. Ethan gave it a wave causing all of my dresses and skirts to disappear from the closet. Horrified I exclaimed, "What are you doing?"
"Be quiet," He whispered, looking around the empty hotel room. "Just trust me. I'll bring them back when it's over."
Before I could question him any further, there was a knock on my door. I picked Andrew up as Ethan opened the room to reveal Corenlius and Dolores Umbridge, to my absolute horror. She gave me one of her sarcastically sweet smiles, titling her head to one side as her flowery perfume intoxicated the air. It smelt as if she dumped the entire bottle on herself.
Cornelius, who seeming oblivious to the glares being exchanged between Dolores and I, wished me, "Hello Stacey. I trust Ethan told you about the meeting today with the Ministry."
"He did," I confirmed.
"I hope you brought along some dresses of some sort for this afternoon. You'll be needing them. If you don't I suppose you could go and buy some," Cornelius said, looking around my room. Now, I understood what Ethan did.
"I don't have anything like that. I didn't think I'd need them for an arrest, I'm sorry," I apologized, hiding my budding smirk.
"That's odd. If I do remember correctly, you like to dress up. How is it that you suddenly lack those clothing?" Dolores questioned.
"As I just said, I didn't think I needed them," I taunted.
"Well, we can't have you coming in jeans. Ethan, would you escort Ms. Ringe to the nearest boutique? I will provide another security guard. Penelope, I presume," Cornelius instructed. Dolores was vexed about the idea but didn't push forward any objections.
Once they were both out of the room, I squeezed Ethan's arm, and gushed, "Thank you so much for this, Ethan. You're amazing."
"You're welcome but you have to thank Penelope. It was her idea, I just helped," He admitted, smiling. "Let's get going."
