Chapter 7: Rita Skeeter's Article

This was going to be my last week in the hotel. I put Andrew down and ran to get some parchment and a quill. Opening the letters I replied to each and every one. Most people had sent me more than one letter over time. Oddly enough I found another one which was adressed to me from Harry but it wasn't in his writing. When I opened it, I smiled to myself to see that it was actually from Sirius.

'Dearest Angie, 

I heard about the house arrest and questioning. Everyone is talking about it. Don't mind Rita Skeeter's article. I hope everything will be alright. I'm sorry about all of this. I can't wait till I get to see you again. I miss you so much.  

Padfoot.'

What had Rita Skeeter wrote about me? I sent the letters off and went to the door where I saw a new security guard. 

"Excuse me, but can I have the Daily Prophet for today?" I asked.

He nodded and rummaged through some things before handing it to me. When he did he gave me an odd look that was a mix of suspicion and fear. I brushed it off and returned to the fireplace where I began to read. The title was "Evil Runs in Blood" and I knew that this wasn't going anywhere good. 

'I have finally got the facts you have all been waiting for. Why was Stacey Ringe arrested? At first looks everyone said it was because Sirius Black had escaped and she needed protection but I found out the truth. The Ministry is afraid that Stacey is in contact with Sirius Black to seek revenge and restart the Death Eaters. Stacey claims that she and Sirius broke up after he was sent to Azkaban. This isn't true. Once true lovers still continue on and her position at the Ministry of Magic was only used to keep herself in touch with her one true love. Now that Sirius is back havoc has returned as well. Reuniting with her lost love together they are trying to reform the Death Eaters and take revenge on the Ministry. With the three purest blood lines (Ringe, Tani and Black) they could easily continue he-who-should-not-be-name's work. In addition to their murderous ways Black and Ringe will seek retaliation on the Ministry for sending away their people. Scared? Well there is more.

Stacey has shown us all her angry side when her godson was taken away from her. She created a scene in the Ministry screaming and using Dark Magic.'

It wasn't Dark Magic for the record. 

'But with her mother being Jennifer Tani, the worst and most powerful death eater ever seen, Stacey will take on her mother's torch. Her blood had evil within it from the moment she was born. Jennifer Ringe (nee Tani) was skilled in Dark Magic like no other and she was you-know-who's right hand. When Jennifer allowed her husband, Joseph Ringe, to be killed by Death Eaters we saw the monster she truly was. Stacey is showing true resemblance to her mom. Stacey may have the purest blood but she also has the most evil blood, other than he-who-should-not-be-named. Lucius Malfoy even provided us a statement in which he says, "She [Stacey Ringe] dueled me recently and I witnessed the Darkest Magic ever. I am personally afraid for everyone." Should Stacey be allowed on the streets? With her pairing up with Sirius Black together they might free more Death Eaters. The Ministry of Magic has to take some action. Ladies and Gentleman let me tell you Stacey Ringe is the next Jennifer Tani.'

I finished reading and looked at it angrily. I was not Dark Wizard. This wasn't fair. I never used Dark Magic in my life on someone. My mother wasn't even evil! She was forced to protect me and my father! I was going to crumble the paper but I didn't. The pictures of my mom caught my attention. One was her on her wedding day. She looked so beautiful as her dark red hair and blue eyes shown. Her dress was elegant considering the millionaire she was. She was holding scarlet roses in her hands as she laughed. I was proud to be her daughter. She showed the greatest bravery and love I had ever seen.
