"My office or yours?" I asked Severus as we walked into the castle.
"Yours," He answered.
I followed him as we entered my chamber. I saw my Andrew sleeping soundly in his crib. I plopped down on the love seat in my room. Severus just stood at the door watching me.
"What's wrong love?" I asked.
I followed his gaze and saw what he was staring at. He was staring at the bruises on my wrists, and hickeys on my neck and chest which Walden caused. I touched them self-consciously. Severus' face filled with anger as his fists trembled.
"Babe, it is fine," I said trying to reassure him that I was okay.
Severus still looked furious so I gently tapped the seat beside me. Severus walked over and set beside me. Leaning back he said,
"How do you just move on from what just happened?"
I hadn't because I was still nervous and jittery from it but I didn't want to dwell on it.
"I - I didn't. Severus I'm still sacred," I said holding out my hand which was trembling, "But I have you beside me and I just feel safe."
Severus took my hand and steadied it.
"I could have killed him," Severus said angrily as his fingers traced the bruises.
I winced at the pain that came from the bruises suddenly. Severus kissed them tenderly which washed a sense of relief over me. His kissed relaxed every part of my body. The hard lips of Walden's that previously caused the pain were replaced by Severus' kind loving lips stopping the hurt. I lay my head down on his lap staring up at him cuddling closer to him. He wrapped his arm around me holding me closer.
"Hectic weeks huh?" Severus asked silently.
"Mhm ..." I replied.
We sat there in silence. It wasn't awkward because it was complete love surrounding us.
"Severus," I whispered.
I wasn't calling him or anything. I just felt this happy feeling when I said his name; just to know that he was still beside me. Severus ran his fingers through my hair pushing it away from my face sending beautiful chills down my spine.
"Do you think Sirius will ever go back to Azkaban?" Severus asked me as he looked down at me.
"I don't know," I answered truthfully.
"Do you want him too?" Severus asked with insecurity filling his voice.
I reached up and stroked his face and replied,
"Honestly? No I don't. No matter what he did he was still my friend. I would never want him to go back."
Severus nodded and I took my hand back.
"I would do the same for you," I said smiling.
Severus and I talked about a few things but like always our private time didn't last long as usual.
"Stacey! Stacey!" I heard someone yell from outside our room.
Severus tightened his grip on me. Lupin burst through the door and started blabbing,
"Stacey I don't think tonight will be calm. I have a feeling that -"
Lupin stopped talking when he saw me still sleeping on Severus' lap while the both of us stared at him strangely. Severus look was anger but my look was more so urgent. I sat up and was about to stand up but Severus held me beside me.
