Settling in

"Finally!" I celebrate as I unpack the last box.

I'm finally on my own and I feel so alone. I can't believe they kicked me out. Well, I can. They never showed me to anyone really. At least they paid for my ticket to Australia. Tossing on my sweats I smile in the mirror.

"Damn unruly hair," I mutter to myself.

Well I'm still able to run. Remember Hali, pace yourself.

Wow. I can't believe their sending me to Australia to see if a half breed is there. Damn, not again.

I've tried to keep her hidden; Now I can't. How will she live? How will she even survive a month with Zhan after her? My baby girl is going to be hunted by our best solider....

(Hali's POV)

After my run I open my fridge staring intently. Hmmm.. Strawberries or cantaloupe? Strawberries it is! I'm glad my mom instilled in me to only eat healthy foods. Great now I'm on that subject again! Slamming the door shut I place my forehead against the cold steel.

"I hope your proud of me, mom," I say silently.

After all I just finished high school, a grade ahead I might add. I do learn faster than others anyways. With a sigh I walk to my bedroom.
"Shower time!" I say cheerfully.

Stripping down to nothing but my underwear, I trot into the bathroom. I notice a shadow quickly disappear from the window. Is that someone outside? Nah, can't be, its a fenced in yard. Shrugging, I grab the clip in my hair and take it over. Shaking my bright red hair, I smile. Alright a nice relaxing day today. Nothing else to do. I just might take a nap.

I slap on Bring Me The Horizon as I ease into the bathtub. Laying my head back on the end of it. I smile, its actually nice here. With a sigh I make myself relax. Nothing here can hurt you, Hali. Even if something did come for you, your so used to pain it would'nt really bother you. Frowning, I shake my head and close my eyes.

(Zhan's POV)

I almost ran through the fence when she looked right at me. Well, she was in her underwear, Zhan. Idiot! You should respect her. If your going to kill her at least allow her to wear clothes! Ugh, I prop up against the fence. Is she listening to Bring Me The Horizon? Inhaling deeply, I smell the scent of her. Oh my, she smells amazing. What is she wearing? For a half breed like her, her blood doesn't smell as bad as others. She actually smells kinda nice.

After a while, she walked back into what I assume was her bedroom. My mouth dropped open as she dropped her towel.

I cover my eyes as I try not to look at her body. Good god, are you trying to kill me? I hiss inside my head. I watched her as she slipped into a tight fitting black dress. Her hair was already curly but damn girl..

She tossed on some heels and I leaped back over the fence. I was sitting on a bench when she walked out. She smiled at me as she walked by. My mouth must have been in my lap as she giggled because she looked fine as hell.

Okay, I'll follow her but just for hunting only. She walked about a mile to a local club that I could hear music bouncing outside of.

"Well ain't that fine and dandy," I mutter to myself as she walked inside.
