The Club

"I must look older than I am," I laugh, dancing on the clubs dance floor amongst the sweaty bodies of the other dancers. I stop as I feel a hand brush against my back and turn around. I see no one but a group of drunken girls dancing together. Closing my eyes I move to the beat of the music.

"Pretty lady, can I buy you a drink?," a man to my left purrs in my ear.

"I don't drink," I yell over the music.

"You came to a club and don't drink?"

"Yep."

"You are crazy!," he laughed, putting his hands on my hips.

Stepping out of his grip I turn to face him. His eyes were glowing in the light of the room. He came at me again but I stepped back. He grew angry reaching for me again. Pulling my arm back, I punch him as he laid out on the dance floor.

"Asshole," I growl moving across the club towards the bar. With a sigh I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear trying not to show how mad I was. A drink was handed to me.

"Oh, I don't drink"

"It's water," a deep voice came beside me.

"Oh, look. If I has drugs in it, I will kick your ass when I get up."

"No drugs," he reassures.

Turning my head to the side I see a blonde beauty beside me.

"Why are you being so nice to me?"

"Saw that asshole on the floor grabbing at you," he nodded.

I shouldn't take the drink but something in his eyes promised ecstasy. Sipping on the cool water all I could manage to think about was my mother. I wanted to scream. Coming to a club? That was a breaker. Getting grabbed by a complete stranger? Big mistake. Taking a drink from a total stranger? Yep, mom is turning over in her grave.

I place the drink on the counter while his head was turned. I slip out into the crowd trying not to let a single person see the tears streaming down my face. I'm a screw up. I know it. No one has to tell me. I felt a little wobbly. I got outside to the alley and propped up against the cold brick because I couldn't hold myself up.

Everything went black as I heard my head crack against the ground.

Where did she go? I saw the exit door open and her red hair go outside of it. I push my way past everybody and crack the door open. I scrambled to get out when I saw her limp body on the ground and blood pooling around her.

Shit. What the hell happened? I wondered as I brushed the hair put of her face. She was turning pale. I was about to break into tears as I pulled her up into my arms. I ran to get her some help and then stopped in my tracks. Wait a minute. If I'm going to kill her, this is a perfect way to do it. Let her bleed out. My brows came together. No, I won't let her die like this. In the streets. Closing my eyes I materialize in my house and lay her across my bed. I rip my blood stained shirt I look at the back of her head.

"What did you do?" I whisper to her.
