New Arrival

(???'s POV)

I look out over the island where I'm staying til that woman is dead. If I have to, I'll kill her myself. She will die. She's the reason we've set rules up. How can one let a disease live? They could rot our blood lines. Make them impure. That shit is not happening while I'm alive.

There is a way to turn her though. Only few people know. Including Adien. If Adien were to try to save her that would mean death for him. There's no way I'm going to let him die. No way! He has to live to save our race. I felt the phone in my pocket vibrating. Pulling it out I answered.

"Hello?"

"Dad, we need you back here for a meeting. We can't have this one without you. Are you coming?" My son demanded.

"Yes, son. I'll be there. When is it?"

"Tomorrow night."

"Alright, I'll be there."

"Where are you, dad?"

"Just taking care of some business, son."

"Alright," he said hesitantly.

"You don't trust me?"

"Dad, I don't trust anyone. Family or not."

"That's a good thing."

"Yeah. You taught me well," his voice sounded icy.

Smiling at the sound of that, all I wanted to do was hurry up with this. She should have been dead already!

"Dad, you there?"

"Yes. I have to go. Get some of this done before I can get there tomorrow. I will see you then."

Hanging up on him, I let out a breath. Nobody should have to kill their family, but it's whats best for our family.
