Walking the tight rope

The room

When I awoke I was no longer in my bed and instead I was lying on the ground. I looked around and found that everything was a different shade of gray, there was a large hill in front of me with a single large tree. The trees bark was pure white and instead of leaves there were red flowers on the branches, the only color in this place. Behind that was a large waterfall that towered over the tree, the strangest part was that it was completely silent the waterfall was completely silent. I smiled I was very familiar with this place after all this was all in my head, I was summoned by them, they were probably angry about the recent events but I can’t blame them for being angry.

“Hey, how long are you going to just lay there?” asks a lady with annoyance in her voice. I could tell instantly that it was probably Rin yelling at me, sure enough, when I looked toward the voice I saw a tall female with long raven black hair, that went down to her but, wearing a long black dress that clung to her pale skin. Her eyes were like that of a cat with the pupil a black slit and her iris a crimson red. She was standing next to the tree on the left side with a pissed off look on her face. On the right side of the tree sat Sachael, the angel of water, she was sitting on a white wicker chair that was next to a white metal table, reading a white book. She had aqua blue hair that was pulled back into a ponytail, she wore glasses that were a light blue color and oval shaped. Her iris was the same aqua color as her hair; she looked bored as she read her book in silence. I slowly sat up and looked at them with boredom before saying calmly,

“Is this better, Rin?”  She narrowed her eyes at me.

“Just come over here once and I’ll teach you to not to talk to me that way” she said venomously as a sword with a black blade and handle appeared in her hand.

“Oh, sounds interesting why don’t you teach me then” I say sarcastically as the exact replica appears in my hand. She Growls at me before saying

“I’ll make you regret those words, shiki” I smirked and launched myself forward swing my blade at her chest. She barely blocked it and falls back a few steps trying to regain her balance. I couldn’t help but smile before saying smugly

“I thought you said you I would regret my words, Rin-san.” I kept attacking at inhuman speed, as she defends herself against my blade. Even I could tell that she wasn’t fighting at her full potential as she usually would when we fought. But then, like someone switching on a light, her attitude changed and suddenly she launches an attack of her own. I barely had enough time to move out the way otherwise she would have taken off my arm with her attack. We went on like this for a while, just the sound of our blades clashing and Sachael turning her pages in her book.

“Alright you two, playtime is over, let’s get down to business” Says Sachael after a while as she finally looks up from her book. We both stop, we were both sweaty and tired after we have matches like this, so we walk over to Sachael and plop down in chairs that suddenly appeared. Rin’s chair was a black metal chair with the metal curved into swirling patterns. My chair was a gray padded armchair that had no markings on it anywhere which looked boring compared to their chairs but I didn’t really care so I left it plain. Next a porcelain tea set appeared on the table with 3 different teacups Sachael poured the tea and we added what we wanted to our tea before we started to drink it.

“Alright, why did you guys have me come here when I have school in the morning?” I finally asked once Rin and I had calmed down enough to speak.

“We need to discuss your latest decisions, such as your engagement to stein Fujishiro, adopting that demon half breed and having 2 CIA agents staying at your house” Says Sachael with her calm motherly like tone. I took a drink of tea before saying calmly to them in my best business type voice

“The engagement to Mr. Fujishiro is only a temporary arrangement so they would not find out my secret of immortality when they tried to kill me. As for Luca I plan to seal his demonic side and let him live a normal human life. However I plan to use him to my advantage to come off as a caring person, who lives with my younger brother and it will make people believe that I am really Shiki Beirth and not someone with a fake name. As for the CIA agents I have to put up with their intrusions temporarily otherwise I will come off as hiding something and then the real issues will begin.” I drink my tea as the information sinks in for them.

“Yes but the first two problems could easily been taken care off if you had just killed the Guy and his group and then have let the kid drown. That would have taken care of everything and then the CIA agents would be the only thing we would have to worry about” says Rin annoyed as she slams her cup down hard.

“Rin you can’t just solve everything with death and destruction. However shiki we could of avoid the Stein situation if you had just erased all their memories. Also I really wish you would allow me to find you an angelic servant so that you wouldn’t be surrounded by such filth all the time” she says while looking at Rin.

“Why don’t you just mind your own business, Sachael the angel of water, bitch? It’s quite obvious that Shiki is going to ascend to the Demon throne and then take over earth and then drag heaven down to hell where it belongs.” Rin half growls at Sachael, while holding onto her swords ready to launch herself at Sachael.

“You really are an idiot, Fire of Hell Rin, it’s obvious that Shiki will ascend to take her rightful place next to god in heaven and then we shall destroy the demon world once and for all.” Sachael says to Rin with her hand resting on the handle of her White heavenly blade that can purify anything. I sigh before stepping in to stop things before they got too far out of hand and they start fighting.

“Enough! Both of you stop this annoying arguing. Both of you are wrong I won’t ascend to either throne I will remain a human being. Also Sachael you can’t find me an Angelic servant because they wouldn’t accept the demonic part of me and would keep trying to purify me. And I am waiting to erase Mr. Fujishiro memories until I use him as a way to keep guys from asking me out.” I say loudly which in turn makes them shut up and drink there tea while looking away like little children.

“Now if we are done here it is almost time for me to wake up and go to school” I say while standing up. After I say this they finally look up at me and Rin says

“Today I am going to watch and see how you act through your eyes so be prepared and have sunglass ready since I hate how bright it is outside” I stop and look at her.

“Are you kidding me right now of all the times, you chose now when I have CIA agents crawling around and dealing with Fujishiro?” I almost yell at her.

“Those reasons are exactly why I’m going to see things through your eyes so be prepared and goodbye” She says calmly. Before I can say another word of protest I’m back in my room and my alarm is going off next to me.
