As Kathryn and Monika showed their love for their long-lost grandparents, Emily had the three of them live there for the moment. However, on the other hand, what the Poe's didn't know was Rose watched as the Zareths searched for them. Hiding in the bushes, Rose grabbed hold of her scythe, narrowing her eyes upon their every move. Scowling, she kept quiet, listening in on King Valentino and Valerius' conversation, still as she could be. "Father, I don't think they're here, maybe we should go back to the castle," Valerius suggested, backing away a little. "Nonsense!! They're here somewhere and once I find them, there will be no mercy!!" Valentino shouted. Rose kept scowling until that same scowl turned into a shock across her face, letting out a small gasp. Rose couldn't let that happen, so as the two of them talked, Rose snuck around without a sight of her caught by Valerius' or Valentino's eyes of brutality seeing her. Searching all around the area, Rose caught up to the two-story brick house, covered in tortilla brown and umber brown masonry walls with many overlapping windows. Without any movement made, memory served her in knowing that this was her great aunt's house. Knowing this, she wasn't sure if she could go in, for the Poe's are fugitive members, but she did want to help them. Particularly for Kathryn's sake, for Kathryn was a friend that she wanted to protect with all the determination she had. So with a full mindset of those thoughts, Rose approached the door, knocking with caution to only wait for a response.
Hearing a knock at the door, Anastasia answered the door after taking care of her granddaughters by giving them drinks of different tea. Opening the door, Anastasia became shocked as the door showed the sight of Rose. Rose leaned back a little in her stance while looking up at her with an intimidating sense about her, even though her eyes turned soft. She wore a dark red hoodie with a zipper, overlapping a dark grey shirt matched with blue jeans and a pair of combat boots. Anastasia, astonished, stood there in shock still until Rose waved her hand around in her face, "Hello? Hello? Anyone home?" Rose repeated her question with a concerned tone. Anastasia shook her head, snapping out of her headspace, "Sorry, It's just that you look so familiar," She apologized.
"It's ok, you look familiar too..."
"Huh-"
"But, that's not why I'm here, got it!! Now, do you know about the Poe's?"
"Of course, they're my side of the -"
"Good, now move!!" Rose demanded, shoving her out of the way as she entered the house. With determination on her face, Rose walked through the house, seeing Kathryn giggling in a conversation with her sister while drinking refilled Oolong tea. "Kathryn!! There you are!!!" Rose sighed in relief, releasing tension from her body by loosely letting her arms down. "Rose? How do you find me?" Kathryn enquired her, sipping her tea in little quiet sips. "I came to find you and warn you of the Zareths!! They're looking for all of you!!" Rose answered, her pitch raised a little higher than her usual pitch of voice.
"Yeah, I know, that's why we're here, Rose,"
"Oh..but why hide when you can fight, trust me, I'll strike them with my scythe!!"
"No, I couldn't possibly let you do that, besides we can just fight them alone,"
"How do you know? With my scythe and whatever defense thing you have, what could go wrong, Kath?"
"They could use me against you, they could try and manipulate you against me any other villain in any other story. Besides this is all just a-" Kathryn tried to say, but Monika covered her up by the end of the sentence. Monika smiled, trying to protect Rose from the truth. Emily, Anastasia, and Rose became confused, cocking her heads about what Kathryn tried to say. "Umm...." Rose responded, scratching her head in confusion, not sure what to say. "It's nothing, ok, nothing," Monika reassured her, faking a smile on her face. She hoped Rose wouldn't become curious and ask more, but she wasn't sure what kind of person she was.
"Wait, who are you?"
"I'm Monika, you?"
"Rose...."
"Monika!!"
"But I didn't-"
"Shhh!!!" Monika shushed her, putting a finger near her lips, hoping Rose would stay quiet. Rose grew suspicious of Monika, backing away from Monika a little, and grasped her scythe into her hands just in case. Kathryn rose from her seat, putting her cup away in the sink, only to make her way to her room that she and Monika were sleeping in for now. Rose narrowed her eyes, suspicious of Kathryn until she came out, holding her journal in her hand. However, as Rose tried to speak, another knock was heard at the door, yet this knock was different from Rose's way of knocking. This knocks sounds like an authority trying to get in to solve a case involved with a crime. Due to this, Emily answered the door this time, ready to protect her family, and this time she needed to. Rose tried to take a peek at who it was, starting to become annoyed by Emily moving in her view of sight, so she couldn't see. However, as Rose listened in a clear sense, the voice became familiar to her. The sound of the voice triggered her anger, preparing her scythe for a fight. Yet, as Rose tried to charge, Anastasia held her back from the scene as Emily argued with King Valentino about her daughters. Making threats of taking them again and how he would make sure that she would never see them again. Kathryn and Monika looked at each other, nodding their heads in agreement as they rose from their seats on the couch. Heading to charge King Valentino, moving their mother out of the way as they attacked him with Rose on their side. Though, Valentino grabbed their hands, putting them behind her back, trying to pin both of them down. Rose slashed away at him, but nothing worked, for he kept pushing her out of the way, knocking her down every time. "Ugh!! Guards, take these two away, I'll deal with this little brat!!" Valentino ordered, pointing to the carriage nearby the house as he inched his way towards Rose. Although Rose had snuck on the top of the carriage, knocking out the driver, taking the reins as she ordered the horse to ride away. The Zareths chased after them, stealing a horse from The Poe's stable, trying to catch up to them as he got closer to the carriage. Kathryn used fire from her hands, trying to trip up the Zareths while Monika got her keyboard ready from her small bag she had with her. Using her code, Monika was able to make obstacles, so they could lose the Zareths, just in case Kathryn's minor plan didn't work. Riding away from the Zareths, Valentino caught up to them again, inching closer and closer, almost grabbing Kathryn from the small opening of the carriage door. Screaming, Kathryn smacked his hand away, trying to knock him off of his horse, only for Valerius to throw a rock at one of the wheels. Tipping the carriage over on its side, leaving Monika and Kathryn in their path, with one small step for finally taking the girls again to be their weapons. Monika shook in fear as Kathryn tried to burn the ceiling of the carriage, only for smoke to cover their faces. Kathryn stopped as she coughed in the face of the smoke near her until the smoke vanished from sight. Though as the door opened, the Zareths raised a frying pan in the air, ready to aim at the Poe sisters as they shook in fear a bit more. As fear grew in their hearts, everything went dark, both suddenly losing consciousness out of nowhere.
