After a while, Kathryn finally got a chance to speak with the girls in the literature club. Yet, the girl who came to speak with her, appeared to be the same girl from her dream and flashback. Seeing this girl, she perked up knowing after a while the girl approaching her was, indeed, her sister. Her minor reason for also joining the Literature club, other than just trying to find some friends. The girl had a genuine smile on her face, her eyes had a beaming perk to them, using her open palm to wave to Kathryn. Smiling, Kathryn did the same, resting in a still posture while waving back to the girl in front of her.

"So, What's your name?" The girl asked, trying to make conversation with Kathryn.

"Kathryn, what's yours?" She replied with an added question.

"Oh,  it's Monika," The girl replied, smiling with a nervous chuckle.

"Oh, nice to meet you, Monika..."

Hearing her name triggered the same image of the little girl from her dream, in her mind. This image caused her to space out in mid-conversation after she greeted her in return.

"Are you alright?" Monika questioned her, concerned about her well-being.

"Huh? Oh..yeah, just missing someone, anyways, I wanted to ask you if I could join the Literature Club,"

"Of course, we're always looking for new members!!" She beamed, raising her index finger and thumb in the air. Saying this, all four girls in the room perked up, one by one, each genuine smiling at Kathryn. Each one happier than a kid on Christmas, because of Kathryn's decision to join their club and help it grow. Each one bellowed with joy, trying to hug her in a group hug while she still sat down. Hugging her, Sayori gave Kathryn a bear hug, which knocked her over in her chair. The cheery atmosphere gave every girl in the club hope for the future, including Kathryn herself, who let go of all four of them after some time. She now found her second home away from her actual home, a place she could hang out and read at. A safe haven from all the chaos. With four girls at her side, she could now call the girls, her clubmates, friends from now on. Life seemed to be looking up for her, the five of them celebrated her decision by relishing in Natsuki's cupcakes and Yuri's oolong tea. Allowing all five of them to make a toast to the future of the club of the Literature club from here and beyond. Yet, little did each girl know their fate, and secrets would come sooner than they thought.

Later that night, Kathryn pondered over her decision to ask Monika about whether or not she remembers her? Would it affect anything? Would feelings get in the way of her being in the club? She kept asking herself these types while pacing around her room, she really didn't want to cause drama, nor hurt anyone, or even bring up any past hurt either. Though, she knew she wanted to know if her sister even knew her, since she didn't seem as if she remembered her at all. Although, one thing was for sure, she would find out the answer to her question, whether she asked or not.

The next morning, Kathryn strolled down the hallway again to her first period class, but this time, she saw someone familiar to her. A girl with short red hair, eyes of bright blue and fair skin, dressed in the same uniform as her. However, this girl's uwabaki slippers had blue tips on the tip of her shoes, yet behind her backpack was a scythe she owned. Marked with a sapphire bracelet around the handle to signal her side of the family. Seeing this, Kathryn raised an eyebrow, pursuing her lips out of confusion over the situation. Why did she have that? She thought to herself. Wondering about this, she tapped the girl's shoulder, hoping the girl would turn around. Which she did, but the girl did not seem to not be happy about it. Her eyes looked narrowed, her lips were still and her expression seemed either cranky, mad, or simply just angry about something or her. "Sorry to disturb you, but I wanted to ask where you got that sapphire bracelet made out of gold," She asked the girl in front of her, pointing to the bracelet. The red-haired girl looked behind her at the golden-sapphire bracelet, "Hm..Oh t-that?" She questioned her, "That's something I got from my family, i-it's a long story. Anyways.....I have to go," Rose explained to her, growing anxious the moment she realized who Kathryn was.

"Oh-h...o-ok," Kathryn stuttered after.

Afterwards, both of the girls went to class, going throughout the day until the two of them saw each other again at lunch. Both girls made eye contact, but had different reactions to each other. Rose became more anxious, because she was supposed to complete a task that involved her. Reminded of that task, a flashback flashed before her eyes, a memory so vivid it seemed she had ingrained the memory in her mind. A man of slightly darker skin stood with his dark brown hair slicked back to make himself look rich and of royalty. His arms crossed, his eyebrows were furrowed and arched to the extreme, making direct eye contact. "Rose, listen!" He ordered her, keeping a stern face with a voice sounding taut, "I have a task for you and it's important, it will change the life of Zaida forever, Got it?" He notified her, getting in her face.

Rose nodded her head, her mannerisms were more anxious, due to her anxiety creeping up on her. However, instead of showing it, she held her scythe and pretended to want the job.

"Yes, sir," She shouted, saluting him with her hand in a straight-like form upon her forehead.

"Thank you, okay, now, your task is to kill this girl in this picture, got it," He shouted a bit, emphasizing that he meant business. All while she held up a picture of Kathryn, smiling like she didn't have any problems at all. Seeing this, she just continued to nod in silence, keeping her hand in a salute, staying still. Yet, what her father didn't know was she recalled a flashback with the same girl from years ago. The two skipped around in a circle while holding hands with some other girls well. Although Rose kept this private to herself, that way she wouldn't get in trouble with her father.

Though when Rose snapped back to the present, she heard Kathryn say hello to her on repeat.

"Hello...Hello..." She repeated, waving a hand in front of Rose's bright blue eyes. She became startled by Kathryn's hand, making her avert her eyes everywhere until she saw the girl from the hallway stand in front of her again. "Huh? What are you doing and why?" Rose shouted, holding her scythe near her neck afterwards. Kathryn stood there, looking down at the scythe near her neck with her hands in the air. "Sorry, I apologize, won't happen," Kathryn apologized to Rose, relieved after she pulled her scythe away from her.

"Anyways, do you mind if I sit next to you?" She asked her, "I don't necessarily have any other friends to sit with or be around," She added. Rose listened to her, then nodded towards her question since she didn't necessarily have any friends either.

"So, since we have properly introduced ourselves, how about we say our names?" Kathryn asked her, hoping she would agree.

Rose just continued to nod, then waited for her to speak again.

"Okay, well, my name's Kathryn Poe, what about you?" She asked once more.

Hearing that name, Rose became more silent, looking away from her as her anxiety crawled higher up her back. Though, to hide her anxiety, she used her hand to cover the side that was shown to Kathryn.

"Hey, is everything okay?" She questioned her, concerned for her mental health.

"Huh? Oh yeah, everything's fine," Rose lied, trying to keep anything she could secret about the royal family and what's going on with her.

"Okay..." She replied, though this time her speech seemed a little slower this time. However, Kathryn wasn't believing anything that Rose said, she was convinced that something was up. So, as the end of the day arrived, she decided to follow Rose to wherever she went. Walking up behind her, she closely kept her distance while following her until she saw Rose enter what seemed like a portal to something. Watching this, she wanted to find out more about her family and what secrets lurk around the corner. With this in mind, she went home, entering her house and asking her mother one question. "Mother?" Kathryn asked her mother in a plummy voice.

"Yes, Kathryn?" Emily replied, nervous for what she was about to say.

"I would like to learn about my family, from the secrets, lies, everything..." She commanded, using her hands while she spoke.

"Sure, but why the interest? Is it because of what I said?" Emily genuinely asked her.

Kathryn shook her head.

"Not entirely, I saw a girl who looked familiar and she went into this portal," She replied.

Hearing this, Emily dropped a plate that she was drying off with a towel covering her hand. Allowing the lowering plate to drop and break into a million pieces across the floor while she stood there in shock. Almost completely frozen....
