You said goodbye that terrible day
Tears of sadness streamed down your face.
I didn't know what you meant at the time
But I understand now that we never speak.
You left me behind that day
and I can't find the words to say
"I love you".
I want to hear those words pass through your lips that I've kissed
but I'll never hear it now.
I try to call,
but all I hear is your voice speaking of cars.
I love you so much,
you'll never know,
and now I've lost the chance to tell.
So I don't whisper to a soul
how my brain is fogged by your face
and how I can't sleep without you in my arms.
Because they don't understand how it feels
to have your hand on my beating heart as we drift to sleep,
reliving that dance that changed our hearts
and reliving our kiss from under the stars.
THE END

This will be the last poem I will write. I'm republishing this one since Hidden Girl is coming to an end and this poem is about Aurora and Alex's relationship. Check out my book Hidden Girl for more on Aurora and Alex.
Thanks for reading this book.
