Continuation of In Her Eyes
The wind blows her hair across her face,
obstructing her vision.
She comes back to reality
and smiles at me.
You can tell from her eyes
this is not where she wants to be.
She longs to be somewhere else,
she just cannot face reality.
She goes back to the book,
back to the place where everything seems right.
Away from reality,
and back into her dreams.
It is her retreat
where I will never be.
