Marissa stayed with me that night. The next morning the nurse comes in to check on me. She looks everything over and says it all looks good. Marissa stays with me the entire time I'm at the hospital. One day, I start to open my eyes and Marissa is sleeping on the couch next to the hospital bed. I smile when I see her and I say, "Good morning beautiful. Oh how I missed you." She starts to open her eyes and when she sees that I'm awake, she runs over to me crying. "Danny, don't you ever scare me like that again." I chuckle and look at her. "I wouldn't dare leave you by yourself." She calls the nurse in and the nurse looks surprised to see me awake. She says, "Oh well good morning Danny. Welcome back to Earth." I grab ahold of Marissa's hand and say, "It's good to be back." So about 30 years pass and we're both 80 years old. My wife's not doing so good. She's sadly on the brink of death. I'm with her every step of the way just like how she was with me. 2 years pass and it's her 82nd birthday. She can barely breathe and I know it's her time. I sit with her and hold her hand as she eats a piece of her favorite chocolate cake. She looks at me and gives me one last kiss. "I love you Danny. I always have and I always will." I lay with her as she puts her head on my chest. I play with her hair as I hear her take her last breath. I lay there for about 5 minutes until I call 911. They come in with a body bag and wheel my precious wife away. A week passes and I'm at her funeral. I brought her favorite flower, a blue orchid. As everybody walks away I'm the last person to see her beautiful face. I gently open her hand just enough for her to hold the orchid.
